The loser of this game was going to be no worse than 4th in the rankings and get a bye either way but the 5-8 teams didn’t play so they are staying the same. It will probably end up working in Ohio State’s favor anyways though because the 5-12 matchup will be Oregon vs James Madison while the 8-9 matchup will be Oklahoma vs Alabama/Notre Dame. If I had my choice I would take my chances with Oregon over a SEC team or ND.

There was a very ticky tack DPI call against them on that drive but they still had a chance to make a stop on 4th down. Can’t blame anyone but themselves on that drive.

ACC gotta keep their highest ranked team in the hunt. Too much money being bet on these games. IMO

Miami is their highest ranked team. If they wanted the best chance of putting a team in the playoff they would have their tiebreaker aligned with the CFP rankings.
