'26 TN QB Jared Curtis (Vanderbilt commit)

As far as Vanderbilt is concerned they have a huge void to fill in the fact that they lose 26 Senior and grad students.
A lot of experience leaving and they will have a huge void to fill.
Is this statement true or false?
True

Losing Pavia will be very tough next yr along with a brand new OL and no Stowers. Pavia had some things you just cant teach. It will be like us losing Hendon and maybe even greater.

I’m sure Curtis will eventually be good, but expecting him to step in for a 6th year senior in Pavia is tough. I can’t imagine the offense will be as elite next year as it was this year.
And too, who’s to even say he’ll be as loyal to Vandy as Pavia has been? Pavia rejected a lot of big offers from other schools. Curtis, meanwhile, may just go to Georgia in the end when he’s a sophomore with experience. Hell I’d say Kirby would prefer it that way.

Still a big grab for Vandy, but let’s see how the rest of the roster shapes up.

Not to mention 40% of their roster is seniors and graduate players. They brought almost their entire team back for this run with Pavia this year.

Curtis will not get that luxury next season.

That roster still lacks talent in a lot of areas. Pavia’s playmaking and infectious confidence just covers it all up.

No surprise. Vandy has tasted football success and likes it. They got money and great coaches. They're not going away.
I also heard that they are making exceptions to the high academic requirements for football players, so they can now get players that wouldn’t traditionally be eligible for admission at Vanderbilt.

Yep, Faizon is faster, more athletic, stronger arm, accurate
It's not even a Faizon vs Curtis thing. G-Mac played in a much harder division in the same state and put some impressive stats. He wasn't close to being considered an elite QB recruit.

Curtis feels like Brock Vandergriff 2.0, who also didn't play in the toughest of divisions in GA high school football.

I wish he has come to Athens, but I’m not too tore up about this one. He wants to play early (which is understandable) and Smart doesn’t promise it, especially with a starter returning.

That said, UGA is going to need a QB soon. It keeps getting commitments that sign elsewhere. It worked out well with Raiola, but UGA was close with Arch (who was never committed) but couldn’t land him. Now Curtis. The years of having elite talent on the bench are probably over and the cupboard isn’t bare, but another flip isn’t helping things.

Can only wish sincere good luck to Curtis. He’s betting on himself in a big way given the Vandy roster.

That's been the norm for Ivy League schools for a while. Figured Vandy also did it. But your point is a good one. They're serious about it now. Kinda scary that they can recognize talent, but their talent will be smart, too. Kinda think their kids will be smart enough to line up correctly and minimize mistakes just a wee bit sooner than game 12.

It is curious how UGA seems to have no problem at all getting elite talent everywhere but the qb position. Y'all really lucked up having Stetson Bennet when you did.

I get the feeling Kirby is gonna light him up when they come to Athens next year
