Vols are 1st in Completion % given up, 66.8% (Vandy is 2nd, 66.3%)
Vols are 3rd in Passing Attempts against, 34.5 (Vandy is 1st, 35.6)
Vols are 2nd in Completions against, 23.0 (Vandy is 1st, 23.6)
Vols are 3rd in Passing Yards Allowed, 247.1 (Vandy is 2nd, 248.3)
Vols are 3rd in Passing TDs allowed, 1.5 (Vandy is 2nd, 1.9)

Vols have faced the 3rd, 5th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, and 15th rated teams (by passing yards per game)
Vandy has faced the 3rd, 10th, 14th, 7th, 16th, and 12th rated teams

One thing I like from a trend is that 3 of our best defensive games in yards allowed have happened in November. Vandy has had 2 of their worst 3 defensive games in November.

People don't seem to realize Clark Lea isnt a good coach. He made a good decision of hiring the NM St coach and Pavia. Those 2 things are really the only reason they're winning + their weak schedule.

If someone wants a coach from Vanderbilt, it should be the NM St coach. . .

They've played 2 decent teams and lost to both of them. They're about to play their 3rd, which is the 2nd best team they've played overall.

Tennessee is about to slap the collective taste out of their team's mouth.
I like your confidence Enki but am afraid Andy is a little better than you think. I do think the Vols get it done because it's home and the recency bias of how we looked against the Gators. I thought Banks did some very unique things last week and it was one of his better game plans. Of course the Gators being really weak on offense, especially in the passing game allowed him to be very aggressive, which I prefer. Pavia could really give us problems if our defensive front doesn't bring it and put him under duress. They also have to put him on the ground when they get home. I personally think if we play smart and don't make the critical mistakes we beat them but this team can be very mistake prone. I think our offense can score a bunch of points if Joey doesn't turn it over. Go Vols!

As much as i dislike Vandy, It really is beneficial that they're decent to pretty good. Hopefully, Clark stays and keeps it going somewhat.

Playing a 2 or 3 win Vandy every year in the past gave UT no real benefit
Will be interesting to see what vAndy does in the portal at the end of the year, as they are ranked as the oldest roster in the SEC... I think they will be losing at least half their starters, so they may not look the same next season depending...

Pavia's legs don't worry more than Taylen Green did. Let Perlotte crack his skull a couple times and he'll think twice about every move he makes.

They're gonna try to light us up in the secondary. We need a big game from our db's. Seems like our defense was a lot better last week vs UF. Is it because they suck real bad or because we're better without you know who? Probably a little of both.

We all know we should've beaten UGA. We should've beaten OU and we should have been in a 1 possession game at the end with the sister bangers. 1 common theme in all of our losses: we beat ourselves. If we don't have a catastrophic play, they don't stand a chance.

Play clean football and do everything else the same as we have all year and we roll andy.

I wonder how badly Heupel wishes he kicked boo off before the season? I wonder if he would have if we had a healthy McCoy…

This defense seems way faster and energized since the cancer is gone.

We’re going to smack Vandy
Obviously Defense will be the key on whether we get the W... we must contain pavia, just keep Perlotte spying him with his speed and we should be good to go...

Vandy normally gets beaten, blown out in some cases, by those teams that they've beaten. I know South Carolina, LSU, and Auburn have issues, but those rosters are still infinitely more talented than Vandy. They also held their own against Texas in Austin, again against an infinitely more talented roster. A "typical" Vandy team probably still beats South Carolina this year but loses to LSU, Mizzou, and Auburn. They'd be 6-6 right now.

Pavia is undoubtedly the straw that stirs their drink, and I'm curious to see if Lea can keep their good run of play going after he leaves. But saying "he isn't a good coach - he hired a guy who brought in a really good player" is a non sequitur. Hiring good staff members is a huge part of any HC's job.

Can't be true. I was told on here that Pavia sucked as a passer earlier this season...

Could've been one of the Quarterback Whisperers on here..
He was struggling. He has been an entirely different players the last three to four weeks. Tre Richardson has really stepped up for them.

All time...

Saban - most championships (7), 80.6% career, 297 wins (5th all-time)
Bryant - 2nd most championships (6), 78.0% career, 323 wins (3rd all-time)
Joe Paterno - most wins all-time (409), 74.9% career spanning 5 decades (60s to 10s) is impressive and all at one school
Osbourne/Urban/Bowden/Hayes - can make a case for any of them...personally Urban for me cause 85.4% career and 80% in bowl games at 4 different schools is crazy

What in the actual fu...uhm..udge are these stupid @$$ fools thinking?

You guys wanna know WHY I absolutely HATE the Commodewhores with the pure burning passion of a 1000 suns...why I have always said I hate them as much or even MORE than I hate Florida, Bama or UGA??

Jimmy Johnson might be on just the "football" coach Rushmore... to win a Natty in college then win 2 super bowl championships with the Cowboys being you basically were the HC that built that team...impressive stuff

Pete Carroll is also a hell of a coach. 83.6% in college with 2 Nattys, 1 SB and 57.1% for 19 years in the NFL is also pretty damn good stuff.

I’ve thought the same thing. The teams are pretty evenly matched statistically, but Tennessee seems to be finishing stronger on defense, which probably speaks to our superior depth relative to theirs. Plus, getting Hobbs fully healthy seems to be a game changer.

I like the Vols by 10+ in a completely wild environment. I really do hope our fans make this the loudest game of the year on Rocky Top.
