Vandy is better than TN

Disclaimer: I missed on UT / UF by a mile. Had my guess been a nuke, all you would have felt was a mild shudder.

That being said, I ran the NCAA numbers (multiple categories), and...

All I'll say is I hope it don't come down to Max outside of 45.

Go Vols.

You're one of the posters saying we will lose all year long to them....don't backtrack now
What does that have anything to do with my wanting the Vols to win and to shut him up? Do I think we can win, yes. Do I think they can win, yes. The fact is, they probably are the better team. If you knew me, you would know how painful that is to admit. The one game every year that I always say the Vols must win is Vandy. Not sure why someone would get their feelings hurt because another Vol fan thinks we might lose a game. I had myself convinced Florida would win last night and boy am I glad I was proven wrong! I'll keep being a Vol fan and also keep posting my thoughts right or wrong just like everyone else should.

If our defense doesn't play their best game of the year against their punk QB, they have no pride in the power T at all! Shut him up!!!
He's not a punk. He's a good guy with good leadership that believes in his team. As much as I want Tennessee to win, Vanderbilt is a good team with a good chance of winning and making the playoffs. He's exactly the same as our Joey and he's no punk.

Call me crazy but I feel better about this game than I did FL. I think if we play clean ball we can win this one by multiple possessions. It’s just Vandy. We are more talented by far. Execute and we win.
If our defense can hold Pavia to between 500-550 yards passing + rushing, we can win. Yes, I’m serious.

Good guy is probably a stretch. I don’t get that feel when I listen to him talk. Probably closer to the punk side of things. He’s not volunteering at the local children hospital on his off time I don’t imagine. The rest I can agree with. He’s a gamer and has confidence that his team has bought into.

I still think we win convincingly at home. At the end of the day it’s still Vandy.

Guess you are equivalent on this board to BOO in the locker room. Openly sharing discord is what it is. Thankfully your Mom is not joining in to my knowledge.

I think JH ran the ball so much yesterday, first to shorten the game, and secondly as an opportunity to get our mindset right. IF we can run the ball on Vandy, and JA plays his game w/ no INT's, then it's all going to come down to the D playing a solid game. I've got a feeling we're going to put it on them.

I agree. We have the youngest team in the SEC. They have finally started to gel. If we limit the mistakes, I think we get a solid win. If we are -1 or-2 on turnovers, then it will be tight. If we go -3 or more, then we will be in trouble. We lost the turnover battle in all of our big games this year. I am optimistic after the florida game.

Again, do only those Vol fans that think we are going to win every game get to post here? Why is thinking the Vols might be in danger of losing a game = sharing discord? I'd say there are at least as many Vol fans concerned about this next game as those that are convinced we win.

Running game. You can't let little brother come in here and stop you from running the football. Also you're going have to play 4 quarters because Vanderbilt will..They're solid and don't beat themselves often. Tennessee will have to play well this week.

We can only beat who we play, but if we don’t beat Vandy, we’ll have zero wins against good teams. All of our wins are against sub .500 teams. Going 8-4 while losing every game vs decent opponents would be difficult to call a successful season.
We basically beat UGA in regulation, missed a FG that our kicker makes 9 out of 10 times. UGA didn't stop us they watched the ball miss the uprights as the clock ran out, even Kirby said as much after the game. They then did beat us in OT but not in regulation we gave it to them. We have lost to 3 good teams in contested games. Not many great teams anymore, college football is seeing parity like never before. Like the NFL I wish all D1 teams would play an all D1 schedule. Players are getting paid now so they shouldn't give the fanbase cupcake games in such a short season.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Banks schemes for Pavia. I'm also looking forward to seeing his adjustments. He will earn a disproportionate amount of his paycheck this weekend if UT has a strong defensive showing.
