Vandy is better than TN

They have the oldest team in the conference I believe and they also have used the portal some. Not highly rated players but they’re very experienced and play well as a team.
They have 35 “seniors”—guys who have no more eligibility. Their age and experience has done wonders for them. They are really good.

I just... Don't see it. They play pretty decently... But Vandy will never ever ever but never make me nervous.I think we smash sense back into them about their place in the basement of the sec.

Not me, they make me very nervous. Our Secondary is ass and Pavia 's stats the last 3 games are pretty impressive..If he plays Sat the way he has the last 3 games, he easily puts up 400+ yards on us. I'm ready glad it's at home

The thing I am worried about with Vandy is they have no Quit in them. No matter how far ahead of them you need to keep being aggressive and doing what got you in the lead otherwise Pavia will be coming for you again. Not a Pavia fan due to his antics but have to admit he is a player.

My only concern is the emotions of SR day and how we typically start slow afterwards. Don’t need to be down early playing catch up.

Smother Pavia and please dont let off the gas on offense. Get tired of the second half let up at times we have. Put our foot on their throat an just see how much we can score.

TX jumped on them early built a big 1st half lead and then let up thinking they had game under control. Vandy came back in 2nd half and TX had to hang on. We need that UF 1st half and Heuple CANNOT go into his conservative mode at any time during this game.

We can only beat who we play, but if we don’t beat Vandy, we’ll have zero wins against good teams. All of our wins are against sub .500 teams. Going 8-4 while losing every game vs decent opponents would be difficult to call a successful season.

Brother you been here long enough to remember that beating teams with bad records isn’t always a given.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Banks schemes for Pavia. I'm also looking forward to seeing his adjustments. He will earn a disproportionate amount of his paycheck this weekend if UT has a strong defensive showing.
I read that Banks was being looked at by Franklin for his defensive coordinator at Virginia Tech

TN football teams have never really "gotten up" for Vandy in the past. Even when Vandy has had bowl eligible teams. Even last year in Nashville, the Vols started so slow it took getting down by a couple of scores to wake up and play.

This game has to be different. Heupel should show clips of Pavia's antics all throughout practice and tell his team they are the underdogs.

You know I agree, that's why I offer my PSA to help them out cause I know they come here and read comments
I'm more interested in our fans that will attend this game being fired up as if this is GA, FL or Bama. Neyland needs to be as loud as ever all game long. This is a historic UT-Vandy matchup. Years from now people will talk about that year Vandy was the higher ranked team on the cusp of the playoffs and came into Neyland with one of the brashest players ever. This would be the crowning achievement for the 2025 season as strange as that sounds.

Vandy is a good team and dangerous but we win this game if we don't turn the ball over and take care of biz on special teams. I would bet we win 7 out of 10 times.
