We do need to grab a QB out of the portal. Don’t agree w the FBS option. We lucked out with Joey playing as well as he has.

Just look at some of the QBs in the portal from last year: Mendoza, Beck, Mateer, Mensah, and Dampier. All having good seasons and almost all their current teams in position for BCS playoffs.

We need to grab a QB from a major program going through a coaching change, wanting more NIL, etc.

Leavitt from ASU would be a good solid get. Heup would do wonders with him.

Leavitt would be great but guessing he wants a lot of money.

Carlos Beltran is going in.
I think Andruw Jones makes it, next year.
Felix Hernandez in a few years most likely.

No to A-Rod. No to Manny.

I think Petitte deserves it, but won’t get in.

Gators seem to have moved off Kiffin. I came immediately to share this. I haven't seen their reaction yet.

"In the midst of its head coaching search, the Florida athletic department appears to be doing its due diligence as it awaits word on Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin's decision.

The Gators plan to meet with Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall, Swamp247 has confirmed."

UPDATE (4:26 p.m. ET): A source familiar with Thursday's initially scheduled meeting between Florida's athletic department and Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall told Swamp247 the meeting will no longer occur.

Sumrall is rumored to be headed to Auburn.

Tulane can’t catch a break. Only two years ago they lost their previous coach Willie Fritz to Houston. OTOH, for coaches and players alike Tulane seems to be leaning into the launch pad to the big leagues role. Love that they knocked Memphis out of the playoff picture this year. Loved that they beat So Cal in the Cotton Bowl in ‘22.

Rumor is they couldn’t hold on to Chris Brazzell II, either.
