What we need ( talking vol nation) is to quit
Acting like every QB we get to come here is going to hit the portal if they don’t start in year 2.
Nicco wasn’t ready, unless you just want to write it off as a “re building year”!
A lot on here have dubbed this year “a rebuilding year “.
So I guess we can go with “rebuilding year 3” next year and start a not ready QB.

So you'd rather take a top portal QB every year and just not recruit HS QBs.

I just hope they do a lot better evaluating what they see than they did with Milton /Hooker year 1
And Nico last year , - after the OU and Ark games we were told coaches said they though Nico was further along in his development.

That’s a dumb take from what I said.
And the complete opposite of what I’d rather do.

We recruited a top 2 , 5 star Played him before he was ready, his “people” couldn’t accept he wasn’t ready , blamed the coaches and players around him and hit the portal! Recruited 2 top QB’s to Follow.

Dream situation, Nico for 2 is here and back next year, Gmac for 2 , Brandon for 2.

As is Normal, in the age of NIL and Portal Coaches plans didn’t work out , so you gotta go plan B .

If Plan B is starting a FR or Soph in the SEC on a regular basis is a plan that will fail.

QBs aren't cheap. Paying 3 of them means less money to spend elsewhere. Which means the defense suffers. And this season has shown what having a poor defense can do.

Exactly, 100% correct.
And the likelihood that GMac or Brandon are ready to ball out and win against the best SEC teams is slim.
So go get someone that is already ready.

Yes we have to take a QB. It doesn't have to be a top QB. It's not like Aguilar was actually considered a top QB.

You don't have a clue how ready GMac could be by next season. It all depends on how he attacks the off-season.
