With this years team it's been one thing after another. Started with Carter missing summer then Nico then come all the injuries....which clearly continue. Got no faith in this locker room or staff and now that a good many of the "leaders" we counted on are on the shelf, we're simply a shell of what we could have been. At some point, you just have to accept what and where this team is. The swamp is what it is for UT. Vandy is just a better team and far better coached. We're whistling past the graveyard here, but deep down, you know how this goes. We've both seen this movie before or at least I have.

Losses to both UF and Vandy for 7-5. It's all going to come down to getting a very favorable bowl match up....and enough able bodies to play the game. 8 wins sure looks a lot better than 7 to me, but I just don't think this team has the mental and emotional fortitude to really stop what's coming if they lose to UF. I think it snowballs on them. Should be interesting to see what impact that will have on recruiting and if it will finally push Heupel into being far, far more aggressive in the portal and staff evals. Doubt it, but one can hope. Still say Carter will turn out to be Kelly Washington II for Heupel. Think the end for him has started. Another year or two and.....well...you know....
Vandy has played 3 teams this year who have fired their HC.

They gave up 38 and went to OT with Auburn, who hasn’t been able to complete a forward pass all year.

I’m not quite understanding why some are acting like it’s a game we can’t win. Are they good? Sure, but Neyland to them is like the swamp for us

You literally don’t know any of the players on the team or what it’s like in the locker room and you’re saying they don’t have the mental fortitude to overcome things.

Could easily win in the swamp. Could easily lose in the swamp. Could easily beat Vandy. Could easily lose to Vandy.

Nobody knows.

The Vols haven't won a meaningful game since beating AL in Oct last season. I expect that trend to continue. Vols lose by 10-14. If we had some semblance of a defense I'd call ot a toss up but we don't.

The Vols opponent's where they've won is a combined 26-47. They've literally not beaten a single team with a winning record.

FAHR INVOL!!!!
