Fun little full circle moment in the sec, as no matter how good we are and bad florida is, they always seem to win. Same thing with us and kentucky-no matter how good they are we still find ways to win. And funny thing is Kentucky is that kryptonite to florida.

Regardless of Florida’s record, they will put up a fight. At this point, it feels like we are either going 7-5 or 9-3, I dont see us splitting vandy/uf. The fact of the matter is though, this team has played like 💩 the last 2 games, and I dont see us magically fixing that

The difference is, Kentucky is almost never as good as Tennessee. So most of our winds over them are simply because we are superior team. The Florida series is different. They have one so many games in which the teams are equal or Tennessee is better.

We didn't play terrible against Oklahoma, we had 3 game altering TO's. ONE less and we win easy. If we played like we did against OK yesterday, we would have out 60+ on NMST

Am I being overdramatic by saying this is one of the more important games in the Heupel era?
Its a must win in my book. You lose this and Vandy and we are on the brink of disaster again. Would go from playoff contender/title contender to

Can we win games with Heupel and he'd be on the hotseat and destroy almost all of the momentum that's been built over the last 5 seasons heading into next year.

Just don't f***ing turn the ball over and we win. That's it.

How you finish one year has never been more unrelated to how a team will play the following year. More attrition than ever, new players all over rosters, guys disgruntled at their NIL contract vs being happy, etc

We’re in the Forrest Gump box of chocolates era of CFB.

Their defense is better.. We have to stop their quarterback. We never win in the swamp. It's a night game. Kiffin Ole Miss had all they could handle. BUT... our schedule was hard this year. We lost by our own mistakes or a bad field goal kick. I'm cautiously hopeful but won't break me if we lose.

I don't want to jinx the defense, but I'm a little more concerned about the offense right now...mainly the o-line. They've really regressed in the run game and if UF can stop the run without having to stack the box, then it'll be a frustrating night.

Our first half was terrible against Oklahoma. When you out gain a team 298 to 99 in the first half and are down 16-10 when you should have been up by 17 you have gifted wrapped things for them. We certainly didn’t get dominated by Oklahoma but we made critical mistakes at critical times and that was not a good first half. We have beat ourselves in all 3 losses this year. One of the most aggravating things about this team is not being consistent or playing complimentary football. And when we have the opportunity to knock a team out we seem to let up and help them get back in it. Our lack of a killer instinct has to be addressed. GBO

Why? What is FL playing for that they can get up for a game and we can’t?

Did you watch FL vs UK? Had completely given up. Then they fight like hell last night.

Taking WAY too much from one game vs an overmatched team.
With this years team it's been one thing after another. Started with Carter missing summer then Nico then come all the injuries....which clearly continue. Got no faith in this locker room or staff and now that a good many of the "leaders" we counted on are on the shelf, we're simply a shell of what we could have been. At some point, you just have to accept what and where this team is. The swamp is what it is for UT. Vandy is just a better team and far better coached. We're whistling past the graveyard here, but deep down, you know how this goes. We've both seen this movie before or at least I have.

Losses to both UF and Vandy for 7-5. It's all going to come down to getting a very favorable bowl match up....and enough able bodies to play the game. 8 wins sure looks a lot better than 7 to me, but I just don't think this team has the mental and emotional fortitude to really stop what's coming if they lose to UF. I think it snowballs on them. Should be interesting to see what impact that will have on recruiting and if it will finally push Heupel into being far, far more aggressive in the portal and staff evals. Doubt it, but one can hope. Still say Carter will turn out to be Kelly Washington II for Heupel. Think the end for him has started. Another year or two and.....well...you know....

You literally don’t know any of the players on the team or what it’s like in the locker room and you’re saying they don’t have the mental fortitude to overcome things.

Could easily win in the swamp. Could easily lose in the swamp. Could easily beat Vandy. Could easily lose to Vandy.

Nobody knows.
