There's no mention of political motives in that criteria.Murder for hire? Did it benefit TdA's political goals?
(I) The highjacking or sabotage of any conveyance (including an aircraft, vessel, or vehicle).
(II) The seizing or detaining, and threatening to kill, injure, or continue to detain, another individual in order to compel a third person (including a governmental organization) to do or abstain from doing any act as an explicit or implicit condition for the release of the individual seized or detained.
(III) A violent attack upon an internationally protected person (as defined in section 1116(b)(4) of title 18, United States Code) or upon the liberty of such a person.
(IV) An assassination.
(V) The use of any--
(a) biological agent, chemical agent, or nuclear weapon or device, or
(b) explosive, firearm, or other weapon or dangerous device (other than for mere personal monetary gain), with intent to endanger, directly or indirectly, the safety of one or more individuals or to cause substantial damage to property.
(VI) A threat, attempt, or conspiracy to do any of the foregoing.
The murder of Venezuelan political dissidents seems to have been political.Murder for hire? Did it benefit TdA's political goals?

I never said that. I merely answered your question about what sets terrorism apart. As I mentioned, there seems to be little distinction between whether the mafia would meet the organizational criteria for "terroristic activities" which does not necessitate political motives and does not mention whether they got paid for it.How does that relate to 'it's all about the money'?
That's the specific list given for criteria as a foreign terrorist organization. First, that they be a foreign organization. Second, that they meet the criteria on at least one of those lists. My quote was literally from the Federal Gov't's Foreign Terrorist ORGANIZATION fact sheet. That applies to individuals, no?
There's another condition, that the activity threatens the US or US nationals. Doing a hit on a Venezuelan in Chile wouldn't do that. Following are an extract and the document link. That's the specific list given for criteria as a foreign terrorist organization. First, that they be a foreign organization. Just because you do not agree with Trump and Marco does not clear them off the list.Just because Trump and Marco put them on the list doesn't mean they're actually terrorists.
It sounds like the feds are making the argument that their terrorist activities make them a foreign terrorist organization whose enterprises threaten us. Or that they have been committing terrorism or terrorist activities that actually directly threaten us, like kidnapping US citizens for the purpose of coercion, taking over US apartment complexes, using violence for coercion, etc...There's another condition, that the activity threatens the US or US nationals. Doing a hit on a Venezuelan in Chile wouldn't do that. Following are an extract and the document link.

So considering what I was answering, how does that work?
