I’m a big fan of Joey. He seems like a great person and I think he has had a good year, statistically, other than turnovers. So 8-9 wins based on average QB play is what we are gonna get, because average QB play is what we got. Really excellent for stretches, but really atrocious in some key moments. He exceeded expectations until he didn’t. Which equals average QB play.I’m in #2 but disappointed with how he managed this season. Our schedule was easy relative to other SEC schools. Folks were predicting 8 or 9 wins based on average QB play but Joey exceeded those expectations and we still didn’t capitalize. The opportunity was there and as it looks we may have more losses on the horizon.
I'm not even sure that I would even put Guarantano over Crompton.Any All-time list of all time Tennessee Quarterbacks that has Jarrett James Guarantano on it is farcical. Bobby Dodd was a QB at Tennessee for goodness sake’s. Not to mention George Cafego and Dewey Warren. And Agree Andy Kelly is all time.
For me, Tier 1 for every SEC school except us. Always.Football hate chart...
Tier 1: (lose every game always) Florida, Bama, Georgia
Tier 2: (usually it's the coach) South Carolina, Mizzouri, Vandy, Texas, Kentucky
Tier 3: (fluctuates between Tier 2 & 4) A&M, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn
Tier 4: (only wanna see 'em lose when playing us) Miss State, Arkansas
Huge for Peay……

Wait one minute nowI think recent Tony V comments has highlighted why you're seeing Brandon Lawson stepdown now.
With revenue sharing, NIL, and the new age of transfers for anyone dealing directly with the athletes its a constant job...and some folks simply don't want to deal with that sort of stress.
9-3 is the best case scenario this season. We'll see how it plays out. Breaking in a new QB next year, most likely a freshman or redshirt freshman. I don't see much better next year given that and the schedule. We haven't beat a ranked team in 5 straight tries.
Little biased but I got to have Andy Kelly on that list. He was my favorite when I was a teenager and really getting into UT football. Guy beat ND in the miracle at South bend. Not to mention any QB list without Condredge on it is illegitimate as has been said already. This list is awful. All-time, I have no idea, but since Shuler is the oldest on the list. I will start with 92.
1. Peyton (Obvious)
2. Shuler (He was so good, unbelievable college qb)
3. Hendon (Heisman candidate if he stays healthy
4. Dobbs
5. Martin (I honestly didn't think Martin was great, but made clutch plays and won a national championship)
6. Ainge (Awful 2005 season, but was good other 3 years)
7. Aguilar (Story is not over, but his numbers are ridiculous)
8. Bray (Great arm, but questionable decision making. Beat up on weak teams. Not his fault he played for Dooley
9. Clausen (I didn't think Clausen was great, but also think Randy Sanders was an awful coordinator)
10. Milton (JG is not on my list. I like the guy, but didnt think he was a good QB.)
