Lost kid with a bad parent.

Without my in laws and some friends, I would likely have been labeled a bad kid. I wasn’t bad. I was lost and needed help. But without help, I would likely be somewhere completely different now. Luckily, I turned it around and I hope he can too.

I see it differently as my mom was an addict and I dealt with craziness as a child. I had major anger issues and got into trouble as a teen. Once I had people to look up to and helped me, I turned everything around. I hope he can too as he seems lost to me.
Guess so, kid will never change until he owns his attitude. Plenty of kids with subprime parents that turn it around. He’s 19/20(?) time to grow up. Sack up, Boo.

Was Tony Robinson's best year better than '22 Hooker?
Funny they both had similar careers at UT. Both started Junior and shortened due to injury Senior years at UT.

Robinson beat #1 Auburn and Bo Jackson in Knoxville in 1985. Sports Illustrated showed up to the game expecting to put Bo Jackson on their cover, but ended up putting Tony Robinson on the cover. Then Robinson goes down with an ACL (cheap shot) later in the year in Alabama game.

Hooker beat Alabama in the greatest UT game in my memory in Knoxville in 2022. Then Hooker goes down with an ACL vs USCJr later in the year.

I think Tony Robinson was one of top 5 UT QBs ever talent wise. I sure wish we could have found out how good he was. UT may have been 1985 NC instead of just 85 Sugar Vols great if we had him the entire year.

Easier said than done. 19/20 me would be fighting and helping my brother deal for $$$. Lots of fighting and dumb s***. 25 year old me was married and working at a Big four accounting firm. Home life and outside help changes people.

This list is awful. All-time, I have no idea, but since Shuler is the oldest on the list. I will start with 92.

1. Peyton (Obvious)
2. Shuler (He was so good, unbelievable college qb)
3. Hendon (Heisman candidate if he stays healthy
4. Dobbs
5. Martin (I honestly didn't think Martin was great, but made clutch plays and won a national championship)
6. Ainge (Awful 2005 season, but was good other 3 years)
7. Aguilar (Story is not over, but his numbers are ridiculous)
8. Bray (Great arm, but questionable decision making. Beat up on weak teams. Not his fault he played for Dooley
9. Clausen (I didn't think Clausen was great, but also think Randy Sanders was an awful coordinator)
10. Milton (JG is not on my list. I like the guy, but didnt think he was a good QB.)
Once again no Condredge. No Bobby Dodd. If it is all time you better know some history or lived it. I wasn't around for Dodd but I have heard the stories of those teams.

I didn’t list Andy Kelly or Tony Robinson, and I’m not trying to make an all-time ranking. Since the original list started with Shuler, I just ranked them from 1992 forward.

Just know what I seen with my eyes. Tony was special. Would have loved to see what that 85 season ended up like without dirty Bama ending Tony’s career. I think we might have gotten our first Heisman. Hooker is a fair comparison since Robinson only played 15 games as a Vol. Knee injuries were much different then to. Medical technology has came a long way. But Tony still played 1 game in the pros as a replacement player during the strike. Beat the Cowboys with a bunch of their players crossing the picket line to. Some say it was the biggest upset in NFL history. The Redskins gave Tony a Superbowl ring. The movie the replacements is loosely based on it.
Yep, the Bammers and injuries derailed Tony's career. He was great and would have been in the a ground breaker in the NFL.

64.8% underclassmen. Wow. It all makes sense now. Gonna be some bumps and rough times but when this roster matures more, it'll be fantastic.
Like I posted earlier, a few percentage points different from UGA.

Doubt they are using it as an argument to dismiss some extremely poor play at times.
Too many times.

Any QB list that doesn't have Andy Kelly in top 10 is garbage. 24-5-1 career as a starter and led Tennessee to a co- SEC Championship in 1989 and a outright one in 1990..
Infairness, most Tennessee fans who are on social media werent even born or too young to remember him

Georgia has 4 starting underclassmen. We have 6.
Georgia has 17 underclassmen in their two-deep. We have 21.
Georgia has 2 true freshmen in their two-deep. We have 8.

Not quite the same.

Any All-time list of all time Tennessee Quarterbacks that has Jarrett James Guarantano on it is farcical. Bobby Dodd was a QB at Tennessee for goodness sake’s. Not to mention George Cafego and Dewey Warren. And Agree Andy Kelly is all time.

Oh absolutely. You hit the nail on the head. I think Heupel has built it up, incredibly so. The question is, can he take another step? I think most fall into 3 categories.

1. They are satisfied with being in that 8,9, occasional 10 win territory. They don't expect any different.

2. They are satisfied with the current results but expect more long term. They think he needs more time. (I sort of fall into this category but my confidence that it will get better is taking a hit)

3. A few think that he's had enough time and if he doesn't improve then he needs to go. That time allotment us 1-2 years.

Of course there are the loons thar want him gone now (very few).
You keep saying 8,9 with occasional 10 wins and that is below even the reality of the last 3 years, much less “expectations”

Our REALITY right now is base line 9-10 wins, with the expectation of 11-12 wins every 2-3 years. Less than 9 would be a down year at this point.

Our current reality is greater than the “occasional 10 wins” you are claiming people are ok with.

My opinion that nobody asked for on expectations is 9-10 wins. That’s good enough for playoffs more often than not. At that point you’re just an elite qb away from a national championship.

Huepel’s also been consistently improving in recruiting. Defense is about jimmys and joes imo, Keep stacking classes and the defense will sort itself out.
This. And it’s our reality, not just hope.

9-3 is the best case scenario this season. We'll see how it plays out. Breaking in a new QB next year, most likely a freshman or redshirt freshman. I don't see much better next year given that and the schedule. We haven't beat a ranked team in 5 straight tries.

Glad you pulled it together. I’m just saying, Boo’s been given a golden opportunity, he’s been given structure, he’s been given male influence, thousands of dollars have been committed to his well being. He has all available resources at his disposal…. And he’s still a headache. It’s up to him. Only he can help himself now. We aren’t a charity. Good riddance.

So UGA has basically the same number’s we have but as usual some on here find it “amazing “ that we’ve won 6 games.
UGA has basically the same numbers as us... By age? Age is the most predictive metric for success to you?

****, I know a bunch of guys in their 30s and 40s who play in flag football leagues. Let's go get them. Championship imminent.

I think recent Tony V comments has highlighted why you're seeing Brandon Lawson stepdown now.

With revenue sharing, NIL, and the new age of transfers for anyone dealing directly with the athletes its a constant job...and some folks simply don't want to deal with that sort of stress.

To be honest Georgia has looked pretty pedestrian this year. I've watched at least three of their games where the opponent basically $hi+ the bed including ours.

That Auburn game was a fiasco.
