I disagree. They'll always be dominant teams. We're seeing it this year. There are still two undefeated SEC teams.

We shouldn’t accept that, not when we’re supposedly the second highest spending SEC school. If you’re throwing around all that money, 10-2 should be the floor. 7-5 and 8-4 should never be acceptable.

I'm not suggesting anything. All I've done is ask question. The only statements I've made is I don't think he should be fired. I could see him leaving for another job in a couple of years if the 8-4, 9-3 seems to be the norm, to reset his clock. And I've said my confidence in him has taken a hit this season.

And I've asked how long should it take. We are in year 5. We looking at 5 years more, 10 years? I'm not getting any younger.

This is how I feel. Mind you, I'm not near as old as you. I've never seen a dinosaur and I didn't help build the pyramids, but my health being what it is, I do wonder if I'll live long enough to see another Tennessee NC in football.

Save me the injuries and “just one more piece” arguments. I’ve heard enough of that crap that it’s beyond annoying at this point. Heupel is a great coach, his staff sucks. It’s as simple as that. Fix the staff and we’re finally able to dominate when we should.

Don't like the sound of this. I just don't feel we can afford to lose a lot. And I'm not confident we'll be aggressive enough in the portal to mitigate those losses. It brings back memories of begging them to take more defense in last year's portal.

I think we self imposed some scholly restrictions this year that we didn’t have to to make sure with the new increase in roster limits that we’d be able to take as many as possible. I’m hoping that’s the case and we load up this offseason.

so what??..doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to win it?..the work still has to be put in….i don’t think you really want to go down that road of comparing rosters during the George Steinbrenner days and what is now the dodgers legacy run it’s not even close…Yanks bought superstar power names that were already well established in the league,seasoned veterans in their prime.

Versus the dodgers farm systems/scouting team discovering talent in different parts of the world and it’s actually translating at the MLB talent level
(big gamble).dodgers front office is just on a different level right now.

His biggest whiff so far is his d-coordinator and corners coach hire. Willie failed miserably here with Butch, except for Cam Sutton. Most of us rolled our eyes when he hired Willie. I know some here will blame Banks for the safeties, but I’m blaming Willie for the DB recruiting. Your DC isn’t leading many charges in recruiting. Your corner’s coach is however for most your DB recruits. The safety position is horrendous and the corner room isn’t anything to brag about when a walk on is your CB3. Goree and Merrit should be safeties or star. Boo should be a FS, and a damn good one. See ball get ball, that should be his role and he’s a turnover creating machine. I don’t understand our philosophy here.

Of all the things to complain about at Tennessee. Mercy. You might have a cogent argument if Cam Sutton was the only DB Willie Martinez ever put in the league. But we all know how wrong that is.

Emmanuel Mosley was terrible here, he did get better in the NFL. He, ironically, also needed 3-4 years of S&C before he could really be effective. Sounds familiar huh?
