Sanders clearly had a mental lapse (brain fart) because when the outside shoulder of an offensive Tackle has a Dlineman on or outside it...that man is ALWAYS his responsibility unless theres a TE next to him OR in the rare case a Tackle is designed to pull across the formation and block someone on a running play. The 1st snap Sanders ever took in a VOLS game, he pulled across the formation and smashed someone on such a play. This was pass blocking and he was 100% responsible for the guy. The killer part is it was a 14pt swing because Staley WAS wide open deep for a TD and Joey didnt have time to get the ball out.

Anyone calling for us to fire CJH is an idiot. He has built a top10 program capable of making the playoffs with a shot to win every 2-4 years. Thats the best anyone can expect in this NIL era and it will only get harder to do, since greedy ADs etc voted for a 9game SEC schedule...despite the fact that the 3 or 4 good teams in the Big10 only play 2 teams per year ranked in the top25. Go look at the schedules for OSU, ORE, PSU next year. Look at 2027 too. They play 2 ranked teams each and rarely even play eachother. They have guaranteed 10-2 seasons or better if they just beat unranked Big10 teams whose 4year recruiting averages are in the 30s-60s. Looķing at all the SEÇ schedules recently released ALL good SEC teams have 4 games per year against top20 teams that recruìt as good as our VOLS if not 5. More of us have 5 games per season against UT caliber SEC teams than 4. Its gonna be a bloodbath every year now and this season will be the last with 4 teams likely having less than 2 losses. Go look at the SEC schedules for 26 and 27.

Some of yall emotional folks who cry and yell and call for coaches jobs when we lose our 3rd game...to a team the vast majority of us expected to beat us preseason when we nearly all said the VOLS would win 8 or 9 games...better toughen up because 9-3 is gonna be a huge accomplishment after this year and a playoff berth more years than not. These 9 game SEC schedules are brutal and everyone is gonna lose some games in this NIL era with record parity across the conference.

That was not an emotional response, your response was emotional. We get some right, we get some wrong is the point. It’s factual.

Still like Joey, he’s not a heisman contender and the biggest part is one analysts opinion doesn’t matter.

Uh. This guy lost me when he opened up by saying we have been the laughing stock of the SEC since 2000. We went to a few more SEC championships that decade,the last being 2007. These talking heads love pushing a narrative that Tennessee wasn't any good. You're good if you make multiple SEC championship games in a decade. Obviously, our aspirations are higher than that and that's why we let Fulmer go. And that's why we're at a point now where Heupel is living on borrowed time because it's year 5 and it looks like he's reached his ceiling as a head coach. If he doesn't make major staff changes this off-season we'll 100% know he's not the guy. And that's hard to say because I want him to be the guy to lead us back to glory, but his ability to get us back there is very much in doubt right now. We're in year 5 and still getting the same type of penalties all the time

His direct quotes were “hating on Heupel” or “maybe Heupel isn’t the guy”… his response to people saying that is “shut up.” So, don’t voice displeasure with the results from this year and don’t insinuate that Heupel doesn’t have the chops to take this program to the next level. That’s what this dimwit is saying. Heupel absolutely deserves scrutiny in year 5. His playcalling and clock management alone are comical at times. We will have lost every game that matters if we lose to Vandy. That’s unacceptable this far into someone’s tenure.

I’m super thankful for what he’s done for UT football. But it’s becoming painfully obvious that we are regressing. Next year’s schedule is going to produce some ugly results. I’m not saying that he should be fired right now… but I think the writing is on the wall and accepting mediocrity should never happen.

We all saw us blow a home night game against an average team that we should have beaten by 20. The blame starts at the top. People shouldn't be happy. There is nothing encouraging about still not being there yet. The next big chance is at Florida. He can't go down there and fukk that one off too. Or even more people will be out on him.

Regressing? So he was progressing until when? Just last season when he made the playoffs with a qb that is obviously not very good in Nico…when did the progress stop? Was it last night? The bama game? The Georgia game? When did the progress stop? You realize he only just this year got us into the top 20 of blue chip ratio which MATTERS. He’s made progress on that front every year and I expect he’ll continue. When did the “progress” stop do you think? I’d like to not throw it away on a single data point.

I think we’ve progressed in many areas. One kick away from beating UGA. One awful pass from beating bama on the road. 1 data point (a self inflicted loss to an inferior Oklahoma team) is not a sufficient trend for me to make a decision that has (as we’ve already experienced) generational consequences. Impetuous children do that.

My response was far from emotional. But whatever dude. An analyst who has reviewed way more film then most of us on here, sees promise and touts JA’s play more than some of his own “fans”. I’ll have to research but I would bet JA’s stats are quite similar to the heisman contenders

A kid, who hasn’t played a ton of ball, made a mistake whoopty do. Sham had been getting punked before David came back. Now Perry looked elite at RT, I’ll give you that. But Sham next to Pendleton was cash money for the defense.

Who is Georgia concerned about?

Maybe it is moreso that Georgia fans understand the talent edge they have over Tennessee and recognize Heupel closes that gap more and more with his scheme and playcalling.
