He also said Joey would be a heisman contender after this game and TN would run away from OK. He just says things.
This misses my point, he is wrong a lot. He’s pretty knowledgeable when it comes to film study and he’s also fairly complimentary of Tennessee a good amount of time. I watch him quite a bit and he said that we would beat Oklahoma by more than a touchdown…had we executed that’s not exactly a bold prediction.
Also Joey is currently the number two passing qb in the country and only 50 or so yards behind the kid from Baylor. Their TD/INT ratio is very similar as well. Joey being in the Heisman conversation isn’t a stretch either. But, it won’t happen because he plays for Tennessee and I doubt we mount any kind of Heisman campaign for him.
I did to.Yep, he initially moved to double team the DT with our RG, then realized the edge rusher was blowing right by him. HOW....does he not pay complete attention to that edge rusher?? Huge mistake. I decided to make myself miserable this afternoon and go back and watch it play by play, pausing on a lot of plays. Stopped and started that play a half dozen times trying to figure out what he was thinking there.
Had Tennessee scored that last TD and won most would be saying the same thing. Almost 400 yards of passing. Didn’t win. So this guys doesn’t know anything and JA is mediocre. ImHe also said Joey would be a heisman contender after this game and TN would run away from OK. He just says things.
Anyone sober or with half a brain is not calling for his head.Brooks sees it very clearly in the film. Heupel is an offensive mastermind who creates all sorts of opportunities for his players to succeed. They just need to execute. The careless INTs, unfortunate fumbles, missed kicks, dumb penalties, is a lack of execution. They are correctable. But replacing one of the best offensive playcallers in college football is not a path anyone wants to go down. We really need to shame the idiots who think otherwise.
No I think people would still be annoyed that we slopped it up all game and ended up nearly losing because of it the same way we did against Arkansas and MSU. That stuff catches up with you. We can’t just keep playing like that and then act like it was just random bad luck we lost a big game.Had Tennessee scored that last TD and won most would be saying the same thing. Not a fan of timeouts for people but some shouldn’t comment until mid week after a loss.
Do we assume he was not taught properly to cover the outside guy on a pass play. Looks like one of our DBs letting a receiver run free for 5 yards and catch undisturbed on third and three. Just doesn't make sense that a player would not cover it.Yep, he initially moved to double team the DT with our RG, then realized the edge rusher was blowing right by him. Dang, truth hurts, huh! That free speech thing works both ways, so you are stuck with it.You, sir, have better things to do than be here.
A Dunning Kruger reference here is the most pearls before swine comment I've ever seen on Volnation.
