How is this any different than a Butch game?

Who you going to get that’s any better???
CJH will get us there. Started the year with a portal QB when Nico left. Mass exodus from wide receivers. Started his career with limited scholarships.
CJH will get us through this.
He won’t get us anywhere. I don’t think you fire him, but only an idiot would insist this guy can win championships. In game, he is really bad.

Explain the X’s and O’s to me and show me how we were out coached? Break it down for me.

Because it’s not a pattern. Wins and losses happen and we’ve won more under him than anyone else since before my balls dropped brother.
I never claimed to be a football expert , but from my many years of military experience and studying at the war college and using Shih Tzu art of war tactics the objective is to win period and in that sense We failed and the team leaders failed! In war there is no moral victories Just Victories!

You’ll make an excuse for him next year also.

Up until OK, JA has been an upgrade. So the QB excuse doesn’t hold water.
Wait, I missed the part last night where coach Heupel threw horrible picks. I was there in Y7 and from my seats it didn't look like Josh was suited up. Maybe one day you'll grow man hairs and understand football.

He didn’t. JA had a horrible game, as did the head coach. We pay a guy 10 mil a year and he didn’t even know that the clock wasn’t going to stop outside of 2 min when our players ran out of bounds.

We pay a guy 10 a year and on 4th and season on the line he draws up a play putting the ball in the hands of a freshmen that no one knows.

Or did you miss those parts from Y7?…..

I certainly didn't see you or any of the other VN coaching savants putting in resumes for the position. Why not? Clearly you know more about it than the Heisman finalist, national championship winning former player Josh Heupel.

Keep complaining though, I'm sure it'll help things turn around.

Boot hype sure has a lot of loyal partners in crime doesn’t he! That is the root of Tennessee footballs problems far too many people willing to accept subpar! Until we get serious about expecting more then that is what we will always be SUBPAR

You can have a down year, but your teams still look disciplined. That’s not happening and is leading to the consternation that people are starting to have. It’s only a matter of time, he’s used up all his goodwill.
Only the toxic fringe of our fanbase thinks he’s used up his goodwill.

I’m still shocked he beat Bama and Florida and made the playoffs with Nico at QB. And I’m impressed by the fact we are 2 plays away from being a 1-loss top 5 team despite our top 2 DBs being out. The idea that our team is trash is pathetic. The breaks didn’t go our way in 2025. Everyone on this board knew we needed breaks to go our way to make the playoffs in 2025. They didn’t. It’s part of the game.

lol unfounded sensationalism is always funny after a loss. Define mid? It always being in the top 25 out of 136 (or however many there are now) mid? Is making the playoffs mid? Define mid with some statistical analysis for me please. Otherwise your comments are just more over emotional dribble.
Backing into the playoffs last year and getting your ass handed to you is trophy worthy. Mid tier is not coming close to an SEC title in 5 years. Choking away games via terrible game management to teams that are clearly inferior. If you are satisfied with what youve seen from this HC over his 5 years, great. Enjoy it. Some of us have higher expectations from a guy making $9M a year.

This game is a carbon copy of any of our big game performances under him. This is not acceptable at all and I don’t know how anyone can watch this team and say they have been well coached at any level.

Massive mistake after massive mistake and every game has been sloppy and a struggle to do simple things right.

This is a decently talented football team that can barely do anything right. I have seen enough awful coaching performances at Tennessee to recognize another one. He has been great for us, but he has failed this year.
At least we are not hearing the word "individuals" 28 times per minute.

Thats part of the issue. Youve never seen a champioonship level UT team. I have. Several of them. And there is nothing this team, and say, the 1989/90 SEC and Sugar Bowl champs share.

Putting yourself on an elitist pedestal by saying “some of us expect more” is such a strange stance.

By your logic, we should fire every coach who doesn’t win an SEC Championship within five years? Should we have fired Majors after year five too? That would mean we never would’ve had Fulmer and the 1998 National Championship.

This is what happens when you fire people without a plan or any stable direction ahead. It’s the same kind of impatience that led to the childish coach who started our downward spiral. I’ve watched losing teams my entire adult life as a Vols fan, and now that we’re finally becoming relevant again, people like you want to throw it all away by firing the only solid coach we’ve had in decades.

Stability matters. I care about consistency and long-term growth, not short-term satisfaction. I’m not a child expecting instant results. I understand the landscape, and I know exactly what would happen if we fired our coach in this current market.

And as for the other reply. I forgot we won a national championship in 89/90. Oh wait..

Actually I love discussing more detailed game day strategies and why they work and didn’t work. I’m not making any excuses. I just see child like flailing with zero substance. So why should I entertain that? Why should I give it my time. The vast minority want him gone and only those with little football experience would want him fired given the current state of the program, the progression we’ve made, and the best QB talent we’ve had since Manning coming in next year.

Get a grip kid.

I don't have a huge dog in this discussion but for this year I can define "mid."

There are 16 SEC teams.

8 of those SEC teams are ranked above UT.

We are currently "mid" in the SEC by a statistical definition, I believe.

I hope this helps.

Again that is subjective. To be middle of the SEC is to be elite in regards to most other conferences. So in one regard we are mid yet at the level we play our mid is still better than 95%.

Thank you for proving my point. ❤️
