so your willing to put up with this mediocrity for 3 more years just because he won’t a few games here and there! Let’s not forget that he’s one of the top paid coaches in the country but has not won anything of real relevance other than the scoot the poop award!

We would be fools to enter this coaching carousel given the better jobs that are currently available.

He deserves 2 seasons to get the ship corrected. The one thing he has going for him that I don’t agree with is 2/3 of this team are underclassmen so there should be some nice development.

Heupel needs to rework his staff. He needs to ditch the playcalling duties. If Halse can’t do it, find one who can. He needs a new direction on defense. It was painfully clear last night which defense was better fundamentally & better coached.

I’m afraid if JH keeps his commitment to not fire anyone, he’ll regret it.

I think Heupel is a good coach but I’m starting to doubt if he can ever win a championship here. It’s year 5 and his teams lack discipline and his refusal to make staff changes reflects complacency. If you get rid of him, who is a for sure hire that’s gonna do better than him? Maybe Curt Cignetti

Mike McDaniel might be available soon.

If we are going to have a middle of pack coach, than ticket prices also need to be middle of pack. No more nonsense paying 400 and 500 dollars a ticket. That is ridiculous way to treat your fans.

Regarding the offense - If Heupel goes the portal route to find a QB, I hope he targets a QB with multiple years of eligibility left and brings his offensive coordinator with him.

But I personally prefer Heupel and Halze seeing what they have in Merk/Gmac these final 3 games with a bye week and cream puff NM State and get a start on 2026. No one will care about Aguilar leading a victory in the Swamp or over Vandy next year if we have an inexperienced QB starting the season and we lay a dud to Georgia tech.

McDaniel is a major upgrade from Heupel.

CC would not take the job

We don't have the instinct to win a title.

Winning a title requires discipline and leadership. Heupel seems like he's too much of a "cool guy" to instill the right discipline.

Sloppy coach equals sloppy team

I'd fire him if we could get Gruden. That's about it

Idk if he has what it takes to win huge games. I honestly think this loss was more on Joey, Oline, Dline. I think the play calling and game management is questionable more often than not.
People will laugh but Gruden in this era of CFB could work very well, just be a program figurehead to motivate kids while 2 elite coordinators do most of the dirty work. Kids will want to play for him off name alone, especially QBs. And he would love the transfer portal and the ability to just go and grab 22-24 year old plug and play guys. Adidas NIL budget would do most of the big time recruiting for him anyways

The only thing that gives me pause is the Belicheck experiment failing so miserably but I also think Bill just does not remotely care at all about UNC and just saw it as a paycheck, where Gruden wouldn’t do that

Gruden would never be able to overcome the barrage of negative recruiting against him based on his lack of character.

I was just being an idiot, I’m a fan of the crappy Dolphins, unfortunately...
It’ll never happen, I’ll be very surprised if Heupel benches Joey Swags.
Besides, are we certain we REALLY want to see one of those two, playing in the swamp or going toe to toe with that jack@$$ Pavia?
😬
I just respectfully don’t agree with this suggestion.
Aguilar has earned the right to lead the offense imo.

People also have to remember our 3 SEC wins are a combined 2-16. And 1 of those teams (Arkansas) we’ve barely beat. We had one of the easier schedules in the SEC the past 2 seasons with Arkansas, Miss St and Kentucky being on there plus 2 terrible G5 out of conference opponents.

With Florida’s schedule the past 2 seasons we could easily be in the same position they’re in currently, if not worse

I agree. We've seen enough of Joey Turnovers to last a lifetime. Let me see the new crop of qb's play it out and then add in Faizon in the spring.

And anybody who plans on leaving early to the NFL can go ahead and sit out the remainder of the season as well. If you're skipping the meaningless bowl game then skip the last three meaningless regular season games too...

People with the potential for playing here in 2026 should be out there the majority of the snaps. We ain't winning **** this year so development for next year takes precedent over trying to play the old guys who can't help us win our big games this year.

This 💯. My son really wanted to go yesterday. Two tickets were 600-750 dollars. That’s nuts. We have had two big games at home and two big losses at home.

Just gauging VN

The poll is encouraging. I don't want him fired. I am afraid we might always be a silly team with him, but it's also possible he's just had really bad luck and it's not his fault.

Gilbert missed a FG against OU. It happens. The bad luck part is the mofo on the other sideline hit everything against us.

Gilbert missed a FG. Against UGA. It happens. The bad luck part is Gunner Stockton saved the throw of his life for us.

A little tiny bit of different luck and we're 8-1

Team is too undisciplined and the staff is not
smart enough to ever win a national championship
and probably never win a conference championship
