'26 AL LB Braylon Outlaw

Meh, he’s like Burns in that he MAYBE playing a little bit his rs sophmore year. If he flips oh well, best of luck to him, but he isn’t THAT important
He’s the most college ready LB we have committed right now imo

Rouse in 3 years should catch and surpass wherever Outlaw is at that point.

If the Atkinson rumor is true, then we still need to find a way to keep Outlaw regardless.

But recruiting is almost never that simple.

TJ White?

Rouse is definitely the most college ready lol

He's the most talented. I'll grant that.
But he's been playing LB a year. A lot of grab tackles and not hitting and driving. His body is still developing.

TJ White, is also not close to to Outlaw imo.
If Tennessee lets him go, then it's a huge miss.

He could be in the a special team ace and in the LB rotation next season. The 3rd group.

We're not even going to be close to 103 next year. There's plenty of room. I wonder if it's a matter of resource allocation.
Rouse + White (bonafide studs) in this class after signing Perlotte/Harmon/Anes last class. Honestly don’t need another in 2026 unless he’s too good to pass up.

I think Outlaw is a nice prospect who’s possibly underrated to a degree but he’s likely going to GT, so that tells you something.

Hopefully this means the staff realizes we are going to need a portal LB who can contribute immediately next year.

I personally don't believe the Atkinson buzz when AP has heard absolutely nothing but would gladly welcome him to this class as well.

Rouse, White, Portal LB/Atkinson would give that room a much needed boost. There is absolutely no way Telander can be a starting LB on this team next year...if he is then that's a major failure by this staff.

IMO a portal Lb isn’t needed…

Am I the only one who thinks Telander ISNT awful? I think he fits the run well and plays good inside the box. Does he struggle sideline-sideline? Sure, but in my opinion our edges have not done a good job of setting the edge. We have certainly seen worse
Yeah you are the only one. He’s slow and takes bad angles to tackle

He’s good against the run. He’s very bad when forced to play in space or cover.

Yeah that was kind of my point. Has he been great? Not at all but to act like he’s some G5 player is beyond me. All of our LBs besides maybe Spillman and Perlotte have struggled in space and against the pass

I think we are asking the LBs to compensate TOO much for poor secondary play. That could make any of them look bad.

There are a lot of questions about numbers that I def can’t answer, maybe you can. Like why are we still offering PWO spots? I thought those were going away.

Will the walk-ons currently rostered be kind of grandfathered in, allowing them to finish their eligibility under that designation? I’m wondering about guys like Ben Bolton and William Wright who have played meaningful snaps for us, Wright for several years now.

There are too many unknowns for me to feel confident there won’t be a numbers crunch. I hope you’re right. But I also have a feeling the spot he vacated will ultimately be filled by a better player, and that’s just recruiting.
