'26 AL LB Braylon Outlaw

And we need guys that can tackle. Agree?

What good is being big if you can’t get there? I know you said big and fast, but part of being fast is play recognition. This kid is very cerebral. Long arms and has the pass defense of a safety.

Atkinson would be great. And I still would be complaining about Outlaw.

Of course we won’t know till 2 years from now. Bishop is going to rush for 1,000 yards as a sophomore and nobody believed in him except his folk. I said he would be good though. Did I not?? Same with Marcell Reed. But y’all hate when I’m right.

@Freak Why did you delete the Marcell Reed thread? I wasn’t even calling anyone in particular out. Just showing my receipts. You can’t grant a man his due? Figures…
What figures exactly? I don't know what you're talking about. I don't see anything that's been deleted. If you have further questions post in the help forum or use the contact button so you're not cluttering up this thread.

Edit: This thread? ‘23 - TN QB Marcel Reed (Texas A&M commit)

If you bumped a three-year-old thread, it probably good moved to the football talk thread, I would assume.

Carter
Spillman
Perlotte
Telander
Harmon
Burns
Anes
Rouse
White

IMO a portal Lb isn’t needed…

Uh the only baller we have is Arian Carter. We need playmakers. Some of those guys are currently getting abused consistently and others are young.

We absolutely need as much help as we can get on the second and third level

Just like Heard sucked last year. And Brazzell.

Players can improve from year to year. Wouldn’t just look at the group and say we automatically need as much help as possible.

No he wasn't. I bet you thought DeSean Bishop was going to be riding the pine with Seldon and Keith in his same class when he signed too.

You all are fixated on recruiting rankings.
It seems the staff told him to look elsewhere.
Georgia Tech is ranked 8th in the country. Their recruiting ranks is 48th. Their average for the past 4 years is right around that.
- ranked 25 scoring offense
- ranked 35 in Scoring defense
They're doing something right there.

This kid is having a great year for Pike Road.
He's one of the national leaders in solo tackles. While our defense is missing 12 tackles a game lol.

This dude will be All-ACC for Georgia Tech.
I love our 2026 class, but letting this kid look elsewhere where was not the right move.

Oh well ...
Rouse/White is better. And the last we need on this defense is another kid that lacks measurables for his position. While also needing a few years of strength and conditioning before he can see the field. Give me the 6’3 and taller studs we are shifting to.

I think no one questioned if the record breaking RB from TN could carry the ball. We did worry if he had too much wear and tear. Glad to see he didn’t.

I watched most of his plays for 2 years on Diamond Clear Media and had zero concerns due to the way he avoided bad contact instinctively. He got criticized for stepping out and diving to avoid big hits AFTER passing the sticks or after huge gains, but it appeared the coach instructed his workhorse to do so.

Watching the plays instead of reading the stats is the only way to go. I was the lead dog in pushing for staff to not let him leave town. Feared a Randal Cobb redo on the boards if we did.
