Just when I think you have said the stupidest thing you could say, you top it. You should probably leave the college level trolling game, you definitely have pro level talent. Or take a job at the Body Farm.

Run with the rumors all you want, but balance them against sound logic. If there is a real reason for and method by which he was forced out, then lets talk about it. If he got his feelings hurt because his boss is a pooty head and took the first job that didn't suck, then he wasn't forced out, he chose it. But if it is what it appears to be...the opportunity was amazing, and yeah, he was quicker to look because he and his boss weren't tight, I'm not sure why that should be the big deal that some are trying to make it.

Yeah, I said after the arky game, we aren't stopping any of those teams... We came out and started the season, exceeding expectations, and everyone was beating the drum... but it looks like reality is settling in... Not going to be good after we lose to OU at home, FL will be super bad since they are without a coach and will most likely still pull the W, and then to finish the complete meltdown, we lose to candy at home to finish out the season... Very impressed though still with JA, as he's come in and done an incredible job based on the situation. Will be interesting to see if we keep Keys and other major commits... the price will go up quite a bit to keep them, don't kid yourselves...

The worst part will be all the fools that will immediately start making excuses and continue to defend the entire staff...

I'll certainly continue to defend Heupel if that happens. My bet is we beat both Vandy and OU at home with a strong offense. I'm a bit more concerned about Kentucky on the road and then, well, it's Florida on the road (my most hated rival). Thus, two more losses upcomming IMO and I'll take that. Then, on to the next year with a strong recruiting class and solid QBs. Future is still bright.

Tony probably believes what he said, but he and some of the fans are delusional at the moment. He won't be on the sideline and he won't be an employee at UT ever again. And he's definitely not AD material. The time is over. Whatever happened, happened. It really sucks, but you're either a Vol or you're not and he's not anymore.

Our defense isn't good, but they've also not played a bottom tier SEC offense yet. I think tomorrow night will give us the best idea of how bad they really are, Kentucky isn't good they're averaging 22.5 ppg with 342.2 total yards. We put the defense on the field for a ton of plays, part of that is their own fault for not being better on 3rd downs. We've also played 2 OT games which pushed the averages up even further.

But if Kentucky goes for over their averages then it's just an awful defense with no real excuses anymore. And we'll need to just hope our offense can outscore the teams left because every game should be considered a shootout.

That's what I was thinking. We have massive problems if UK goes over 24pts.

Have a feeling we are going to see lots of movement to overhaul this defense. I bet lots will leave, and some not voluntarily. And we'll be spending some coin.

If this staff thinks it can find a safety in bargain bin aisle, it will find itself right back in same spot. Have to go find a starter.

I wanted to believe it was just roster turnover and injuries. But then I watched a video talking about all the losses on offense and they are one of the best in the country this year. Defense didn’t lose quite that much and many starters and depth are back on defense. It’s just not good coaching.

This reads pretty clear cut to me: he wanted to be in the MLB, this was an offer her couldn’t turn down, so he made the decision to go for it. I can’t fault him for it.

Good luck to him, now let’s move on. And Hell who knows, if stuff doesn’t work out for him and we’re looking in 3 years, who’s to say he can’t come back.

If TV would have turned down the chance at the Majors it would have been a Peyton "I'm Staying at Tennessee" type decision. Not many would do that but I believe TV was close to doing it.

This is a point I’ve been trying to say but you’ve done it better. Just because he and DW may not be the best of friends, that doesn’t mean he left because of DW or because he was pissed at certain things. He left because this was, quite literally, a once in a lifetime, never been done before, decision. It’s hard to say no one else here would do the same if given a similar opportunity.

Honestly I think we win out except maybe UF, but it won't matter if we have to go on the road for our first playoff game. Still, I'll never complain about these kinds of years after the two decades prior to Heupel. Keep recruiting well, make some staff adjustments, and do SOMETHING to improve our road performances. We're not that far away from competing for a championship. I can be patient.

You can’t know this. Especially when people Chris Low have publicly said things like, “this didn’t have to happen.”

Now, I think it is likely that he would have taken the job no matter what. That seems rational to me. That’s why it’s so jarring to hear people like Kendall Rogers, Chris Burke, and Chris Low hint around that there might have been more to it. But frankly, I’ve made my peace with it. Time to move forward.

What’s still bothering me, though, is that several posters that I think are normally good posters are pretending like InVol, myself, and others are just making s**t up for drama. It’s dishonest and disappointing. I’ll get over it, though. It is what it is.

All those people are paid by the amount of sensation they elicit. If there's even an ounce of truth to some discontent (and there always is in every situation), they will talk about it and highlight it because that's how they get paid. Low is not a sensationalist like most media hacks, but he's still a media guy who will always highlight the drama if there's even a hint of truth to it.

Losing a coach to the MLB is going to happen 99% of the time. Heupel would bounce too if the NFL offered. Kirby would too. Barnes might be too old, but I bet he would like to give it a shot at the highest level too.

We needed a Bruce Pearl of baseball to wake us up, and Tony did beyond what anyone could have dreamed.

Now that we're awake, we don't need that anymore. Elander is a perfect fit at the right time to be the stoic leader that this mature program needs.

Stand by my statement 100%. If y’all want to pretend Chris Low just spouts nonsense for clicks, go for it. Personally, I just can’t lie to myself about it.
