Our red zone defense this season---

Over 81% of red zone drives result in a touchdown against us... let that sink in... we can't stop anyone...

That ranks us #135 out of #136 teams in the country... Again, let that sink in... Only team worse than us is Charlotte.

I don't care if McCoy and Gibson are out, that is PATHETIC and EMBARRASSING...

Yet move along, nothing to see here, Banks is fine... Heck, we've seen coordinator's get fired midseason for quite a bit less...

Anyone still defending Banks, well, like Ron White says, "you can't fix stupid"...

I think many folks are failing to realize that many things can be true at the same time in this TV situation. Maybe he didn't have an awesome relationship with DW. Maybe he did want to stay at Tennessee. Maybe he also realized that the SF job was a chance to make history and a huge opportunity. It could be as simple as him making a head vs heart decision. Why focus on DW at this point and try to make yourself miserable thinking it shouldn't have happened?

Now about tomorrow. Why is everyone stressing about Kentucky?.😏. They're a juggernaut I suppose.😏

Some of it may be the fact that we play horrible, undisciplined football on the road, our defense is trash and cannot stop a feather from falling into the endzone, and kensucky just came off a huge moral victory taking TX to overtime... They will be flying high, playing loose, and will do everything they can to pull the upset... soo.....

You ever tried to catch a falling feather? Minus points for a bad analogy.

I highly doubt that he ever will again. We'd have to hire a coach, he have a terrible run, fire him. Then have Tony jobless or wanting to come back to college again after a major league season ending in September or October. Chances are well below 0.5%.

I actually think he will go into a TV role with MLB or ESPN if he leaves coaching.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if he ends up an AD in the future.

Perhaps. A shot in the dark at this point. I think he coaches in college again. Maybe not in the next 5 years. But in the next 10-15.

Here are your top offenses in SEC rankings; based on PPG and total yards to the right (#)
1. Vols (2)
2. Vandy (6)
3. Missouri (4)
4. Ole Miss (3)
5. Arkansas (1)
6. Texas A&M (5)
7. Bama (8)
8. Georgia (7)
9. Miss State (9)

10. OU (10)
11. Texas (11)
12. LSU (12)
13. Auburn (15)
14. Kentucky (14)
15. Florida (13)
16. South Carolina (16)

Our defense isn't good, but they've also not played a bottom tier SEC offense yet. I think tomorrow night will give us the best idea of how bad they really are, Kentucky isn't good they're averaging 22.5 ppg with 342.2 total yards. We put the defense on the field for a ton of plays, part of that is their own fault for not being better on 3rd downs. We've also played 2 OT games which pushed the averages up even further.

But if Kentucky goes for over their averages then it's just an awful defense with no real excuses anymore. And we'll need to just hope our offense can outscore the teams left because every game should be considered a shootout.

So it sounds like, big shocker, TV had a crazy opportunity that literally nobody has ever had before. Going straight from college to MLB. He loved UT, the environment, leadership and his players but made a selfish decision because he wants to try to do something nobody has done before. Go to the MLB and be successful at the highest level. Whoa crazy.....so maybe not a massive conspiracy about some terrible relationship with DW. It took so long because he wanted, selfishly, to coach at the highest level but also didn't want to leave UT. Its really not that difficult.

Always a good idea to not go down the conspiracy rabbit hole unless there is really strong evidence (like the referees hate us).

Its kind of why im halfway checked out this yr. These guys are not going to magically stop OU, UF or Vandy enough to win out. Its just a horrible defense and it starts with Timmy “Soft Zone” Banks. Dude is terrible.

We will lose to Vandy if this continues to be the case

I have no desire to see him on any sideline anytime soon. You made your decision, move on.
So you have no desire to see a MLB coach hanging around the complex and telling your prospects why they should come to Rocky Top.

Wow, now your TV hate is turning into a dislike for what is good for your university.

If TV comes back and hangs out on sidelines it tells recruits that the TV vs DW rumors were BS….you should want that.

Elander can keep the seat warm for 3-4 years while TV goes .480 in MLB…returns home…happy times again.

Yeah, I said after the arky game, we aren't stopping any of those teams... We came out and started the season, exceeding expectations, and everyone was beating the drum... but it looks like reality is settling in... Not going to be good after we lose to OU at home, FL will be super bad since they are without a coach and will most likely still pull the W, and then to finish the complete meltdown, we lose to candy at home to finish out the season... Very impressed though still with JA, as he's come in and done an incredible job based on the situation. Will be interesting to see if we keep Keys and other major commits... the price will go up quite a bit to keep them, don't kid yourselves...

The worst part will be all the fools that will immediately start making excuses and continue to defend the entire staff...

It’s not good. Could see it against Syracuse. Didn’t want to believe it.

We can lose two more games.
