My point is that it is not about the AD, whoever that might be, it's about the coaches and the players. Heck John Currie couldn't get out of his own way but hired a generational coach in Tony Vitello. Oh and then there was the hiring of Fulmer as AD ---- wasn't that grand. Many on this board thought that was a great hire. I'm not saying that DW has not been a good AD but if doesn't understand that Tony V. is a generational coach then he is not very bright. Bottom line is that Tony V is not DW's "guy" and AD's across the country like to have "their coaches" in place......

How do you know what is going on behind the scenes? None of us do -nobody!

White may giving TV everything he wants but the MLB came calling - once in a life opportunity.

Or, White may have pissed off TV. It happens.

Either way, White is a successful AD who knows TV is the real deal and generational coach. He agreed to the stadium upgrades and done more for baseball since I began following TN sports in 1992.

I think White and the trustees will do what they can to retain TV. If he goes, then good luck to him in San Fran. I hope he stays as i think he’s great for college baseball and my Alma mater.

I might piss people off with this, but while I want all of the TN programs to do well, I really don’t give a damn about women’s basketball tbh. It’s a painful sport to watch. I don’t ever watch it. Only game I watched last year was against UConn. Sure hope they do well and Kim can lead them back to the promised land, but to the detriment to baseball? lol yeah, no.

Came to post this article about that interview. Sounds to me like he is speculating that maybe the impact Drew had when he arrived made them think of Tony.

But I don’t think Baggarly speculates, he is wired.
