We were terrible under Raleigh and Serrano, but before they ever got here we were respectable under Rod Delmonico; not Tony level good, but good enough to make NCAA regionals/supers and a CWS every 3-4 years if things broke right.

Pretty much. Nothing is a guarantee. Texas A&M fell off a cliff with the best roster in the sport after Schloss left.

The school/state approved $105 million in facility upgrades for baseball (including the recent project overrun of $9.3 million) and pays TV $3 million/year. Obviously, the school has invested significantly in baseball, and it would be a shame to see him walk away over a relatively minor amount of money if the rumor is true of the $700k.

If he leaves to achieve his dream of managing in the big leagues, then I thank him for what he accomplished and wish him all the best.

Yeah I don’t believe anything about specific figures being tossed around. Nobody knows that info but TV, DW, and the donors funding it.

He confirmed that the Giants didn’t leak the news of offering the job to CTV. He was adamant that this didn’t come from the Giants. I hope my Braves and Alex Anthopoulos don't freakin hire a college coach or I'm going to be pissed off especially the year the Braves had this year. Just saying Giants and Posey would be seriously stupid to hire a college coach.

Saban went to Dolphins out of college and sucked and quit, Urbie Cryer went to Jaxs out of college and sucked and fired, Billy Donovan went to NBA out of college and what has he done? The Ex Celtics coach came out of college and wasn't impressive either. Actually I can't think of any college coaches who went to pro's and was very successful so I'm calling TV bluff !!!

And Giants sucked this year and 12 games out. Their fans are going to be pissed if Posey hires a college coach that half their fans have never heard of before out of the blue. They need players not a college coach.
