Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

After watching safety play this year I think I want the Samoan kid from Utah to play safety here. But he’s so good at WR damn. And I’m not buying that both ways bull crap. It’s hard enough for a kid to get on the field on one side of the ball as is under Huep.

With 30 minutes left to play.
You’re assuming it’s a 3 point loss if that play goes different.

Totally hypothetical so the ignorance is you thinking you have a crystal ball that tells you how the game would of ended.

If we scored, the second half could have went completely different in either way.
We could of won or lost by 30.

Stop trying to “tell “ me 💩 that you don’t know .
Yeah imagine thinking going to half 16-14 isn’t a BIG deal vs 23-7. Are you dense?

Here, I’ll “tell” you 💩 I know is you might need some more brain cells

Jimmy Sexton is about to become infinitely richer than he already was. And the bar for a head coach is going to raise another million or two in regards to annual comp. Crazy to think not but 5 years ago the best were making 6 million and that has doubled in such short time.
Agents. Ruin. Everything.

Sounds right to me doing a bit of digging. His only other offer among his top schools is Coastal Carolina. Sounds like they let him go.
Could very well be the case. Just seems odd that they only have around 15 commits for 2026 right now plus no other TE commits and he is a 4-star in-state product. Then again he may have been overrated star-wise initially also.

Huepel is going lots of places, Lexington, Knoxville, Knoxville, then to Baylor.

We are about to turn the corner, best recruiting class in yeard. DGG...

Y'all are ****ing looney tunes if you think Josh Huepel is anywhere close to being on hot seat. If anything, id be praying that Oklahoma doesnt fire Venables
I don’t think he goes to OU with what happened with him there last time and then if they fire his buddy too… Hopefully he’d bring Venables here as DC 🙏🏼

Obviously moreso in pre 2025, but the wide splits, tempo, very small playbook that has a small route tree. Hyatt even admitted we only ran 11 different plays in ‘22 lol
You’re right but Gimmicky isn’t the right word. Gimmicks don’t have lasting value and it’s more of a trick. There’s nothing tricky bout heupels offense. It’s genuinely so basic but incredibly affective

This. It's not a gimmick to be able to scheme people wide open. But scheming people wide open makes the players look better than they actually are, which is why their success doesn't always translate to the NFL where they aren't running wide open all the time.
