Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

It blows my mind how absolutely zero Heupel skill players have done anything in the league.

Sampson averages like 2 yards per carry. Tillman had a respectable year as a third receiver but can't stay healthy. Hyatt looks horrible as a pro. Thornton can't get any receptions. Jaylen Wright can't get on the field. Hendon was lost in Detroit and is on a practice squad for a bad carolina team. Milton is a back up. Who am I missing?

I barely care about the NFL but I want to see our Vols do well in teh league. No one does. The negative recruiting has to be deafening.
Might be just me but I think its Heup jobs to win at the college level with his players and if they make it to the NFL its their job to turn those player who they want them to be. Once those players leave here its up to them and the NFL.He is paid to win at Tennessee.

That’s a 14 point swing at the end of the half. Idk how else to tell you. Willful ignorance is INSANE in this economy
With 30 minutes left to play.
You’re assuming it’s a 3 point loss if that play goes different.

Totally hypothetical so the ignorance is you thinking you have a crystal ball that tells you how the game would of ended.

If we scored, the second half could have went completely different in either way.
We could of won or lost by 30.

Stop trying to “tell “ me 💩 that you don’t know .

I think you missed the point about how the lack of success will lead to already loud negative recruiting.

But besides that, lets not act like VFL success in the league doesn't carry weight with high school kids. Kids to this day still mention Peyton. And I can't tell you how many running back recruit threads I created back around 2017-2019 all referenced Alvin Kamara.

I wonder how many QBs any coach who uses that negatively against Heupel has in the league? I bet not as many. And what I see happening as Heupel lands better and better talent, is you are going to see a lot more of the players he sends to the league having success there. Heupel is somewhat hurt by the fact that he makes average/good players look elite in his system. That gets them to the league, but often they just aren't as talented as the guys they are competing with for spots.

Saw earlier where someone post the chance of 40+ moves in head coaches. Those fired, those hired to replace them and so on. I think the openings now are at 10-11 with FSU still possible today.
I‘m being to think that number maybe a little low.
lol there will be some rich ass mofos with these ridiculous buyouts. tennessee better restructure heupel's

Birmingham officials serving notice to Joey and to Bama (but the latter already knew) that flagrant cheap hits on our QB were open season.

Jumping as high as you can and raising your arms to increase the full body weight impact is not a tackling maneuver. It’s a technique to injure. But he doesn’t miss the chance to punch the neck before he gets up.
Unbelievable. That was battery.
