Franklin and Tech would be a perfect marriage. It’s not a top P5 job, which is where Franklin struggles; and it’s in a conference that’s basically 2 teams (3 if FSU ever gets their 💩together) strong. If I’m a Hokie, he’s who’d I’d want. I’m just not sure how affordable he is right now and know nothing about their athletic department’s checkbook.

Not an easy game there. The only scenario I don't see happening at this point is us getting in with 3 losses. Someone will, but our SOS won't do us that favor.

I have a Hokie buddy too and he does not want Beamer. He’s afraid that’s VT’s top target.

James Franklin would be a solid hire for VT. Ours Franklin in an easier ACC and he already recruits Virginia heavily.

I was thinking Lewis would be our guy but bishop is a stud
Next years offense gonna be a huge problem for everyone no matter who the QB is

I have confidence the defense is gonna be back for next season

Shane would let them fire him before he'd go from South Carolina to Va Tech. The expectations are unrealistic at both, but he'd have more resources at South Carolina.

Good for owning it. Bama brings out the worst in all of us. We’ll get through it.

If we can get through and past kiffin/dooley/butch/pruitt, we can overcome anything.

We've done that a thousand times before, even vs Bama (I clearly remember a couple times in particular) and nobody complained (because they worked).

You have all the momentum on your side and the defense on their heels. You smash it in and say FU to Bama. Why stop it all to call a TO and let them get settled?? Weak. It doesn't always work (of course), but it has so many other times, because it's advantageous.

20/20 hindsight leads to ignoring solid process-driven decisions.

The biggest complaint from this board has always been heupels poor time management in the closing halves

He’s revived their organization, and will win a lot of games there. They be dumb to fire him like the titans did.

I know football and I know what he has done. I think he can be a very good WR. We have several now and more coming. As we have noted, we have very little at safety and what is coming is questionable

I hope we can somehow get Joey another year like Pavia. The offense will be really good next year. Maybe even get Brazzell to return (not likely). Whole oline back, bishop back, Staley, Matthew’s. Talented young TE’s and WR’s

Disagree. The time mattered, it was the only thing that mattered. It’s the whole reason we were put in that position having to make that call. We don’t make that call with more time on the clock and more plays to be able to run.
