We always bitch about the ones that went against our Vols, but what are some of the most memorable or, better yet, some of the most forgettable blown calls made by the refs that went our way? The incomplete pass that was scooped up and taken to the house by DeRon Jenkins against Louisville in 1993 comes to my mind, the play at the 7:50 mark in this video:

That blatant Non Call of PI when the Official was looking right at the play ; a call that would have extended another drive , a catch that would have been made had the DB not wrapped his arms around Staley...........These missed calls brings the officiating integrity into question.

The personal foul on Florida in 2004 that backed them up before their punt and allowed us to get into FG range to win the game.

In 2006, LSU punted to us, and our return guy accidentally touched it as it rolled past him, and LSU recovered, but the refs ruled it that our guy didn’t touch it.

Those are two off the top of my head.

Those are really good ones, Koach! The clock stopping on the Florida one made it extra nice! 👍

I though this made the victory sweeter after the 2000 phantom TD catch

The PI called on 4th down against Syracuse in 98....we got that one.

I actually agreed with the refs on that one! Not that I'm biased or anything! The call I was unsure about that season was Janikowski touching the ball on his onside kick. Maybe he did but, man, I just don't know... He either just barely did or just barely didn't.

This is a special kind of stupid. Let me find one play from 1993 (32 years ago) to prove my point.🙄

Is everyone discussing and having a good laugh about some of the bigger or more pathetic blown calls in our favor a special kind of stupid, or are you the poster child for the Dunning-Kruger effect? 🤔 The Vols have been playing football since 1891 (134 years ago) and there's never been a blown call in our favor, not even once, that we can laugh about and discuss? 🤣

The hit out of bounds on Rohan Davey in the 2001 SEC Championship game at the 18:15 mark in the video below, that wasn't called a personal foul, is one that sticks out in my memory, since the hit out of bounds itself may have cost us the SEC title with Mauck coming in and stealing our lunch money after Davey couldn't get anything accomplished. 🍔 💸

What? That was extremely clear P.I. He was there and all over the receiver well before the ball got there.
It was the correct call, but if I recall correctly it wasn't that obvious. It could have easily been a non call. I also seem to remember we might have gotten away with PI on Bama's last drive. I remember the WR threw his hands up wanting a flag but none was thrown.

A Bama receiver grabbed our DB and pulled him to the turf and the refs called PI on our DB earlier in that game too.

That wasn't a bad call. It might have been a late call, but there was absolutely PI on that play.
It’s one of those that’s a 50/50 call in real time though. If you slow it down on the replay it’s definitely a PI and the right call. I never understood why Bama fans acted like it wasn’t. Maybe they were just upset that it was called so late

That "not a safety" call we got in the 2022 UGA game where we in no shape or form got the ball out of the endzone after Jalen Carter stripped Hooker. In predictable UT fashion it backfired on us though because we punted it out of the endzone and Bennett went over the top to Ladd McConkey for a TD on the first play of their possession. We would have been better off to have had a safety and done a free kick and given them a longer field.

Thought it was an egregious miss live, merely a missed call when I watched the replay

Trying to sound intelligent but you sound like a fool. Be you!

Bama fans act like that every time anything is called on them.
