The same way Kiffin does.
Failed with the Raiders
Left UT after 1 year
Failed at USC
Not won Anything at OM yet

People act like he’s won 5-6 championships
It's not even remotely the same. Compare their resumés. Lane Kiffin is winning at a place that's never historically won at the level he has them winning at. It's not hard to see why he's thought of as a good coach. Every open job in the country wishes they could hire Lane Kiffin.

He didn't claim anything. You two hypothesized that we weren't spending enough on safties to give him what he needed. That would mean either Banks undervalued them or he doesn't have a seat at that table.

If it's the former, then Banks remains at fault. If it's the latter, then that would be a complete departure from everything else we have seen at UT under DW.

Banks deserved praise last year. He deserves criticism this year.

No, we are wondering whether budgeted resources are allocated more towards other position groups that the staff deems more pivotal to winning…..which seems to be working btw.

Fair, in terms of experience he’s definitely got more years under his belt. But if you’re dropping $56 million to fire the guy who can’t win the big games and is the definition of mediocrity, only to hire a guy who has also failed to win big games and is pretty mediocre, I just think it’s a trade off. But I’m no Nittany Lions fan, so I’m okay with them continuing the mediocrity.

Eh Rhule has been hired to rebuild programs and he’s been successful doing so. Would be interesting to see if he could win big ones if he was at a school for more than 3 years.

After yesterday, I'm not sure we deserve top 20. That was not a top 20 performance at home against a horrific team.
This team quit on Pittman vs ND. ND is still a good team. Arky lost by 7 to OM at OM and to Memphis with some terrible breaks and Memphis is actually ranked. We should've beat them worse but they are not as bad as the ND loss makes it appear. Also a new coaching staff basically made it a lot of unknowns. I know CBP was the OC but everything was his call with no handcuffs by Pittman. I hate Petrino but he is a way better HC than Pittman ever would be. They have one of the best offences in the SEC and our D is what it is but they are not a horrific team.
