I am old of enough to remember the late Battle years, early Major years and the years between Fulmer and Heupel when we were getting our butts kicked many Saturdays. So I am going to enjoy winning. The last few years have been exciting because I never go into a game thinking we can’t win.
I am glad I am not as negative as some on this board. I am not criticizing because I know you can’t help it, it is just the way you are made. But games and seasons have ebbs and flow. No team is perfect, but we just beat one of the best offenses in the country and we control our own destiny. We may not win every game, but we are sure not a doormat anymore. These are the strongest overall SEC teams I can remember in any season. Every game is a struggle and fight. I know we have a team that will fight and will not quit. As fans let’s do the same.

I don’t understand when people only criticize and never offer praise. When someone does something well, you praise them. When they do something wrong, you criticize. Willie Martinez gets praise for his successful players. If we are really being truthful, corners aren’t even the problem. Safeties and linebackers are. I will never get the continued hate for a guy who has produced almost, if not more NFL players than Rodney Garner.

Upon reflection injuries are holding us back, youth at times is too, but we have to be more consistent and above all more complimentary. We get turnovers, but do nothing with them. We pull ahead and then give up easy scores. Or we miss a kick or muff a return.

Good teams can do great things, but great teams do them consistently. We are not a great team yet.

We could beat Bama by 3 and we could also lose by 3 scores. I don’t think we are healthy enough to do anything other than squeak out a nail biter.

Just win. We might, but the current spread makes sense. IMO JMO.

Agree. Defense was bad in the first half. Then, they play great in the 3rd quarter, and the offense can’t do anything. We have to take advantage of turnovers.

Yeah Corners and star are def not the problem. Martinez isn’t the one telling them to play soft zones either, that’s banks scheme/playcalling. Outside of Arion, our 1’s and 2’s at LBer just aren’t athletic enough for SEC play imo and are out of position a lot. The safety play has been out right bad. Bad angles and all. Banks’ position group is probably the worse group on the defense.

McCoy is a huge one. They picked again on Redmond last night. We definately win UGA if they aren't picking on Redmond. JMO

The D line interior has been hamstrung and while the guys where back you could tell their game stamina wasn't fully there.

Sanders has not been able to play until now. Our line is not as elite as it could be if he had. We have 0 depth at WR due to injuries and while the guys are elite we are a rolled ankle away from playing 12 personnel out of necessity.

As for youth Kitselman has played way too much because Davis is underwhelming and the young guys are like Redmond - good but not ready ready.

Im going to disagree, respectfully. Redmond made a game changing tackle on a run that would have been huge and had a couple great pass protection plays. Every corner gets beat and that’s going to happen. The fourth down throw against Redmond against UGA was just a lucky nfl throw. Stockton couldn’t do that again if he had five tries. Our issues are at linebacker and safety. Everyone who breaks down film and talks about the team all say the same. Too much emphasis is placed on snaps. These are young kids and rebound so quick. And many played full games on both sides in high school with no problem. I know it’s different moving up in competition but seventy snaps for 18-23 year olds is not crazy. I remember playing 3-4 games in a weekend when I was 18.

SEC finals show did not show or mention the Kirby TO fiasco. They showed the goal line mess twice and complained that GA was not awarded a TD on the play.

We desperately miss Omari Thomas and Elijah Simmons in the rush defense. Both were huge bodies that ate up space, which we have no replacement for.

Wait.... but someone complaining about Banks earlier said our defense had basically the same personnel as last season.

Well Dinich is the Joe Lunardi of football. When the Championship games have been played and she reveals her prediction it will be spot on just like last season...not saying Tennessee doesn't get in but I will say 6 SEC teams with a 10-2 record all doesn't make the field of 12..

We should have beat them by 2-3 scores but each time we had momentum we got hit with the most bizarre momentum-killer penalties of all time. Every single time they had a big play their tackles were putting hands in our faces, holding, etc. GO WATCH THE REPLAY. we outplayed them when it mattered and then when it especially mattered the zebras took over. if you want to complain about our coaching or players as problem #1 you honestly should maybe pick another hobby b/c you're unfortunately too stupid for this one

it's insanity we have to put up with this week after week-- pull their bank records. pull every friend and family member's bank records. something is afoul


not surprised the rise of online sports betting and refs pulling this **** week after week seems to have come at the same time

my personal record in the ED is 620 (.08 = 80 on our scale). He was unbelievable. Definitely some cocaethylene and not just alcohol alone though. He arrived in 4 point restraints wearing jeans and nothing else. He had led police on a 40 mph chase down the sidewalk after stealing a motorized vespa-style scooter. He crashed the scooter into a telephone pole, and police estimated that he flew about 45 feet through the air before hitting the sidewalk. The only mark on him was a dime-sized shallow abrasion to his right AC joint area. He was furious to be in the ED and had to be sedated with versed to get trauma CT scans. These were all negative. About 45 minutes later, he was awake again in a 6 bed curtained ward with two sherffs deputies at the foot of the bed behind the curtain. He somehow escaped from leather 4-point restraints and absconded from the hospital. He was an angry drunk Houdini.

Sports betting is big business and I have been of the belief that refs/officiating are influenced by it. Even some coaches are too.

SEC officials should be required to do post game press conferences like coaches and players are required to do. They need to be held accountable and give explanations for certain calls/decisions they made. Why calls were made/not made or what they saw on certain plays. Instead they get to weasel off the field and disappear into the night. Things might change if they are put in the hot seat and have to defend their actions.

Not just SEC officials. All of them. I saw calls/no calls all over cfb yesterday that were Soo bad.

We nearly got screwed. Auburn did get screwed. USCe got screwed. Wassu got screwed. IU nearly got screwed.... Those OSU cbs... They interfere on every play it looks like... blantent holds and grabs that get nothing.

The snap infraction they called on us was terrible. I threw a party when they finally called holding on Arkansas.

Anyway...a missed call here and there is one thing... What we're seeing these days is malpractice.
