First and foremost congratulations on the weight loss! I hope you have kept it off and found love for the gym and healthy eating! Trust me bro I have ate the same thing 90% of the year for last 3 years I get it haha!It won't happen with that attitude but yes, it can. You just have to be very dedicated to your diet and exercise regmine. I won a weight loss competition a few years ago by losing 30 lbs of fat and gained 7 lbs of muscle. Cut most carbs, ate a lot of meat and healthy fats and worked out 1 1/2 hours a day 5-6 days a week. Also walked 10000-12000 steps a day. While doing it I increase my bench by 30 lbs, deadlift by 60 lbs, and squat by 70 lbs. It isn't easy eating the same 2 meals every day for breakfast, (5 eggs and 3 chicken sausage) and lunch (1/2 cup of white rice, 1 1/2 cups of 85/15 ground beef cooked with onion, mushrooms and cabbage cooked into it and 1/2 cup of blueberries) but it worked for me.
Unfortunately, I had some work things that got me out of the gym but 12-16 hour days will tend to do that. I now have new stresses with starting a business when I left the rat race with that company.First and foremost congratulations on the weight loss! Did you get a dexa scan done before and after to show where you gained 7 pounds of muscle? Were you a big lifter before this contest?
