You over simplify and cherry pick what you want. How about Hebron massacre? Black hand? Riots in Libya? The Farhud? And then all throughout 1800’s"This," meaning the occupation.
The occupation is the cause of all the problems with their relations today. There is stuff that predates it, but the illegal occupation is the cataclysmic issue at hand.
You think you get to define the start of everything. You used to say 10/7/23 is the start, and then I'd say what about 8/7/22 and you'd disappear.
I say occupation is the start of the problems today, and you say an Egyptian blockade was, LOL. Yeah, neither side can get over that blockade.
What about 1948? Again, your method leaves everybody dead, because it's impossible to establish who was right in the first place, and any type of response is always justified. This is getting ridiculous.
I never brought up nukes. I said I wouldn't blame if they responded. You went all nuts. You can't have a reasonable convo on this topic. You're talking about the guy who said Iran would be justified in nuking his family, right?

"Israel started this in 196 and have broken international law"
Me:" No Egypt did by blockading them. Which is an act of war according international law."
You: 1967 doesn't matter and international law doesn't counts when it comes to what's happening today.
Good talk. Literally you brought up 1967 and international law. Clown argument

My hope is that, after Hamas either surrenders Gaza or they are obliterated when they refuse what seems to be their best opportunity to claim any sort of victory out of this particular catastrophe, you are able to put your efforts into something else that gives you purpose and meaning other than virtue- dancing your way through this forum while insulting anyone who doesn’t share your “Israel are terrorists” worldview.A fair assessment of the conversation would be:
You said I was lying when I said, "This makes no sense because Israel started it in 1967." You say Egypt started the 1967 war because of a blockade.
I say OK, IDC about that point. The point isn't really about who started a war, it's that Palestinians and Israeli relations are best explained by the conflict the occupation has created. It's about unjustified war crimes that've been ongoing for 58 years.
You say the war crimes are justified.
I have no response to that. I feel like I've won if somebody says a blockade justifies war crimes.
No country in the region meets that. The US doesn't meet it. Self-determination is the best target.Who needs a "sparkling example"? Just show us a basic, bare-minimum example they coalesce around peace, prosperity, self governance, protection of rights.
The bar is so low, all I am asking for is any hint it has been seen.
If not, the only hope is to bring in others who can govern.
So did they strike Israel or the other way around? They had multiple other ports that were open. This is what happened...
The Soviet Union tells Arab states that Israel is gearing up to go to war.
Egypt says, well the least we could do is prevent them from arming up via Tiran.
Israel beats the **** out of everybody because they were indeed arming up, and they were ready. They illegally seized territory and have held it for 58 years.
Even if you want to say that this blockade was an act of war, international law doesn't allow the seizure of land just because you were upset about a blockade.
Lol. Ok.Self governance for ourselves (historically) and others (currently) and protection of rights (historically, but we're better now) are also problematic. We do pretty well on prosperity.
