Yeah, not really. We all know how it works. 'Look how bad these people are, and they're all one demographic' puts in the listeners' minds that the demographic is bad. That said, I would like to know what led into those comments.

And he was also trying to promote the false premise that if they got the spot because of affirmative action, then they were less qualified than others who were passed over.

Ok this is him being political commentator. I haven't watched any of those videos. What I've watched are the more organic back and forth on college campuses.

To his statements, I hate he used the word white people in referring to them taking someone else's place.. That isn't his MO in his organic back and forth on campuses. That's where he was good imo, If these comments are standard for this format I'd have to say it's not something I would watch or agree with any regularity.

I'll add to this with what I've heard him say elsewhere. He's for a system where color shouldn't play any part. And I can agree with that in general. For instance I've heard him argue that many of the DEI efforts are based on the idea that some young people from underprivileged areas don't have the same resources and that can hold education back, and those who show promise and determination should be given a chance

My retort to that would be that rural and other poor predominantly white areas face those same challenges. is it fair or equitable to deny them equal opportunities solely based on the color of their skin?

The Associated Press, reporting on the event, described that section of the speech as "an avalanche of aspersions and debunked claims about Floyd."

CK calls him a scumbag and then spews forth a bunch of bs to support his stance. (maybe racist?)

I find it interesting that you used the term equitable instead of referring to equality. Equity means ensuring the same outcomes while equality means having the same opportunities.
America and even MLK sought “equality”. It is I think what most people aspire to.
And of course you are free to espouse equity over equality (although I will disagree with you). I just don’t ish to ascertain as to whether or not that was your meaning.

In the full video his comments are a response/reaction to a video of Lee on the floor in the chambers saying she was a recipient of Action Affirmative, as she called it. The other three have made statements in the past that they too benefitted from AA/DEI. The video of Lee is what likely got the the other 3 rolled into a single commentary. His video was a confirmation that "yeah, that's obvious" and directed soley to those 4 ladies. Now, optics being what they are, could he have portayed that better, most likely. But, you can't isolate an event with a person and say they are this or that. You can take a persons entire career and make an informed opinion. Way too many times he has fielded questions about having hate or dislike for certain groups. Geez, just look at the demographics of the emoployees of TPUSA and you cannot legitamtely claim this guy was a racist or a phobic. Multiple blacks including Officer Tatum, 3 gay men, and one lesbian. religious folks have tried to corner him on that and he said hey, TPUSA is a secular organization. It's not a church.

I saw one clip the other yesterday I had never seen before. One religious zealot kid that was way off base with his own 'christianity' accusing Kirk of not being a true christian because he wasn't in gays faces condemning them. He was like 'why would I hate them. Jesus doesn't hate them. He teaches against their choices that are not his teachings, but he doesn't hate them. Infact he went into their homes and ate with sinners'. He emphatically stated all the time when people tried to catch him that he didn't hate anyone, he just held his own beliefs that some people choose not to live by.

We don't hold opinions of Biden by one late life event. It's a proven track record spanning the only job he ever held in his adult life. Was anyone ever curious how a man that had been in DC for 50+- years with multiple failed attempts at a presidential run all of a sudden at his age could get elected. But, that's a side bar. I digressed.
