The useful idiots strike again.

And guess what? Bartov, the expert who is saying it was rigged has called it "genocide," himself.
Thanks for the correction. For a second there, I thought the criticism carried weight because Bartov said it.
To be clear, the reasons Brown thinks it was rigged are the following:
- an anonymous member(s) put a question to a vote without allowing discussion.
- only 25% voted.
- a few who aren't scholars voted
OK. She is right these forums usually allow debate first, but that doesn't explain how we got to 86%. Why did 75% not vote? Is it because they don't want to be on record? OK, so the people brave enough to vote are somehow discredited as the activist minority? How many artists voted? Unless she can show voter suppression, then there isn't much of a scandal here.

Leading genocide scholars organization says Israel is committing genocide in Gaza
The largest professional organization of scholars studying genocide says that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.apnews.com
"O’Brien said 28% of members participated — a rate that’s typical for the group’s resolutions. Voting is held by email, according to the group’s bylaws, and members have 30 days to reply."
No voter suppression, no excuses, they just either couldn't find the time in 30 days or probably more likely, didn't want to go on record.
"The scholars’ resolution accused Israel of crimes including “indiscriminate and deliberate attacks against the civilians and civilian infrastructure” in Gaza and called on Israel to “ immediately cease all acts that constitute genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza.”
It begins with an acknowledgment that Hamas’ attack “constitutes international crimes.”
I don't understand how anybody thinks that is a rigged vote. They put a question to a vote, and people voted. It's not like it was a trick question. You either agree with that statement or you don't. 500 members had a chance to voice their opinions, and only 20 people voted "it's not genocide." 20.
