The difference is, should you be singing Rocky Top in <insert opponents stadium here> knowing full well you could (and sometimes will) provoke a reaction? Especially if you start singing it right in the face of the fan that said they're going to have an issue with it?
I specifically said "minding my own business" to avoid this distraction.
My calculation on the "should I" doesn't factor in this convo. The question is "is NATO to blame" and am I to blame for the conflict in my example? No. I have zero blame. It's not bad behavior to sing your team's song. Answering your question, the reason you wouldn't do it is because bad sports might act like dipshits, which they are 100% to blame for their behavior. There is no left over blame for me.
But the Russia question is different than my example, because Russia is invading Ukraine whether or not NATO moved east.
