War in Ukraine

I would have used UGA as an example instead of OU, but anyway.

The difference is, should you be singing Rocky Top in <insert opponents stadium here> knowing full well you could (and sometimes will) provoke a reaction? Especially if you start singing it right in the face of the fan that said they're going to have an issue with it?

I specifically said "minding my own business" to avoid this distraction.

My calculation on the "should I" doesn't factor in this convo. The question is "is NATO to blame" and am I to blame for the conflict in my example? No. I have zero blame. It's not bad behavior to sing your team's song. Answering your question, the reason you wouldn't do it is because bad sports might act like dipshits, which they are 100% to blame for their behavior. There is no left over blame for me.

But the Russia question is different than my example, because Russia is invading Ukraine whether or not NATO moved east.

Lol simmer down ham sammich I actually agree with your premise. I am pretty sure they have curtailed quite a bit their oil and NG purchases from Russia but yes if they would cut off all purchases that leaves only China and India to buy from them. Then it would be on us to tell both of them pick who you want to do business with. Regardless I don’t think China and India can buy enough to prop up Russia’s economy and I’d expect since they are purchasers of last resort they would get a pretty sweet deal.
I actually agree with Hog’s premise as well that it would help if countries stopped buying from Russia. Don’t know where they could make up the difference but I really don’t care. I just like making fun of Trump and his leg humpers for the big talk and bluster. He rarely follows through after making those big promises. The “severe consequences” for Russia is just another one. And it’s just another bright shiny object to placate the leg humpers.

We went over this yesterday, what you believe is irrelevant when measured against the facts.

You can believe that Livvy Dunne is your soulmate, but that still won't make it true.
I don’t know why y’all keep conversing with that goof. The Ignore button is your friend.

It’s totally unforced errors on Trump’s part also. Trump trying to achieve peace is an admirable goal and I really hope he succeeds. At this point absolutely nobody buys his bluster. And at the head of the list of non believers when it comes to his bluster is Putin.

Well, they broke off Transnistria from Moldova in 1992 and have been occupying it ever since. Invaded Georgia in 2008, and have been occupying parts of it ever since. Invaded Ukraine in 2014, and have been occupying it ever since.

Seems like a pretty obvious pattern, and a reason for any country in the region to worry about.

None of that involves you. What is there to fear?

Georgia should be concerned which is why the Biden administration was sanctioning their "friends", they have been targeted for elimination. The small Eastern European countries should be finding an out. Oh there is a pattern here which is why you don't address the U.S. military foreign policy over the last 60 years.

That is all irrelevant at this stage, it would be like pretending there is chance after Dunne rejected me.

You got what you wanted, not sure what the problem is,

I personally don't have to worry about Russia invading my property, former Warsaw Pact countries, obviously saw Russia's behavior, and (rightfully) did fear Russia enough to seek NATO membership.

And other countries have reasons to associate because of the actions and behaviors of the U.S. and Europeans including russia.

Again, your belief doesn't matter when the facts refute it; we've been over this.
I'm not convinced Dunne wants to be with me, you are convinced the same pickup line you've been using for 60 years is going to work.

The good guys will win. At some point you'll move onto the next failure.

Zero NATO member countries have been invaded since NATO's inception; I'd say that's a pretty solid record of its effectiveness.
Oh course they have been losing everywhere else... they'll go back to what they do best in time...destroying each other.

I literally just have to post what was posted 3 years ago. Nothing has changed. You got what you wanted, now dead people.

No one is forcing Putin to continue murdering Ukrainians.
