@GlitchI wonder if Enki is Steve from Lexington
Why would you ever take a statin? You don’t honestly believe the antiquated “cholesterol causes heart disease” BS do you? With the link to dementia and I had started struggling a little with memory, I stopped it. My doctor scared me into it. My cholesterol was a little over 200 but was that when I was 18 and playing 3 sports and in the best shape ever. Plus my mom had the same issue and she’s 82. My BP is great with me in late 50’s. Since stopping, my memory is doing better. I may die with a heart issue but would rather have it then to deal with dementia
I dont think Faizon is concerned. I think the keys are in the ignition when he gets to campus.I see there are a lot of overreactions on VN this morning...nothing unusual. My only thought about the QB situation is that Heupel will start whoever he thinks gives us the best chance to win. We all need to hope that isn't George just so he can develop more and so he doesn't give others teams a reason to tell Faizon that Tennessee already has their starter and that he'll be riding the bench...I say that because I think George is going to be good whenever he gets a shot. Ideally we put together a solid season behind Aguilar or Merk and then have George, Merk, and Faizon competing for 2026.
One other thing to consider. Babe's career batting average was .342. Ohtani's current career BA is .282. I realize it is a different game now, but that 60 points is still significant, IMO. If you want OBP, it is .474 to .373 in favor of George Herman Ruth. Both have been walked quite a bit.Did you see the Babe play
Tried this out this morning with a breakfast steak but scaled down the herbs a bit. Only had some salt, pepper, & dried rosemary. Had really good results. Very tasty & medium rare to a "T ". Will cook steak this way again. Thanks.Tried reverse sear for the first time on a ribeye tonight. Seasoned generously with kosher salt and crushed black pepper and let it sit in the fridge for about 6 hours. Let it get up to room temp then put in oven at 225°F and pulled out at 120 degrees internal. 1 minute on each side in cast iron, then put some butter, fresh rosemary and thyme in the pan and basted and rendered the fat on the sides. Rested for 5 minutes. Best doggone steak I've ever tasted and perfect medium rare. There's no going back now I think.
Oh how Ive missed you, welcome back! Most of this board appreciates what you bring!Few musings
George looks great but unfortunately he's just so thin. I don't think he's quite ready to handle a full season physically. Aguilar will definitely be the guy going into game one imo.
Physically the freshman are quite impressive. David Sanders is a man. Brame, Radarious Jackson, Morris, Dye.
Linebackers will be the best we've had in a long time.
No real dynamic playmakers on offense it seems (right now at least).
Secondary will be better if McCoy comes back even close to healthy. DL isn't as twitchy but is really solid.
I'd expect OL to be better than last year. Moe was a good pickup. Pendleton is just a body. Perry will be good. Heard and Warren are in better shape.
QB play is really just a killer right now. Nico (and Carnell Tate) really hosed us as this could've been a real championship caliber team.
