But if you think those things i mentioned are not part of it, they you are either naive or blind. <-- Not aimed specifically at you. As to chinese oil supply, I really don't know where they get it, but if the Iranian oil is stuck in the ground I don't know why they would care one way or the other enough to start a hot war with us.

People think this is a Israel-Iran conflict, its not - its about the U.S. People continue to forget the movie they have watched over and over - we already know how it ends with boots on the ground.

Well I’m no expert. You can tell that first and foremost by my miscounting the number of Imams. It’s a tenet of their faith. It’s called twelver Islam in western circles.

We have been in another albeit smaller version of the cold war with the Iranians since I was a freshman in college. It's time to end it and put the mullahs in a box.

True, but again, these people hate us and it is a religious war to them.
Conventional war is not a concept to them.
They will be perfectly contempt with having sleeper cells in our country and other western countries, taking out civilians in malls, skyscrapers, embassies, etc...

I agree. I was just waiting for the "But what if they retaliate and attack us back, thus putting us into a war?" response, which would have inadvertently created the narrative that Trump didn't get us into a war. We were already in a war that Trump hopefully ended.

Christianity and Judaism have their end time beliefs too but not many are gung ho to get there. I may have missed it but I haven't seen any indications that the Iranian leadership is in a hurry to get there either.

China has been very careful, unlike Russia and the US, to avoid getting pulled into regional wars.

They're not going to fight for Iran. If Iran falls and is replaced by the absolute worst, most radical, menacing regime in the world, China will not skip a beat and continue to trade with them. What they won't do and don't need to do is get involved in anything but commerce.

There is zero in it for China to fight for Iran unless completely magically and completely impossibly Iran became a totally US and Israel friendly state that refused to trade with them.

prolly in the minority here, but I believe it was a mistake to leave Iraq and Afghanistan. they should have been kept as vassal states in perpetuity.

The hypocrisy is obvious, he’s just projecting his inner thoughts here, but the reason behind the hypocrisy is most interesting. Creating a distraction because a key member of your administration accuses you of being a pedophile/rapist almost sounds like fiction, but it’s not.

I suspect that was probably the original plan. The US just sucks at it. We always seem to put the bur under the saddle that will eventually give our horse an infection.
