Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Damn.

And I’ve never heard of a cop causing an accident, but I see those guys texting or computing and driving all the time. Not surprised. Don’t shoot the messenger @Ulysees E. McGill
He wasn’t paying attention. Traffic in front of him stopped. He looked up and tried to avoid slamming into the back of the car in front of him, veered right into my stopped truck and broke the rear axle. Saw the whole thing happening in slow motion.

They need to be paying hunters to kill doe. I’m tired of them running into my poor car
I was about 22 years old and decided I wanted a car I couldn't afford. A Mercedes c260 or something like that. The dealer wanted me to test-drive it and said I could drive it home to let my dad inspect it. I was on Sevierville Pike, about 2 miles before Valley Grove Church when a deer jumped in front of me. I missed it, but a split second later another deer fired itself out of a ditch into the road and I clipped it. . . had a little hair in the grill, but got lucky it didn't damage the car.

A couple guys in a beat up 92ish chevy cavalier stopped, got a pistol from under the seat, whacked the deer, strapped it to the trunk and drove off. This all happened in about 90 seconds, 😂.

I turned around and returned the car immediately.

Ryan never struck out 20 😳

Clemens ×2
Wood
Scherzer
Rand Johnson.
There was a 6th time a pitcher struck out 20+ in a game. Tom Cheney struck out a major league record 21 in a game back in 1962. However, it is not recognized as it occurred in 16 innings. Still…no one else has struck out 21 in a game.

When I worked in Gatlinburg back in early 1990's a coworker bought a brand new Chevy Truck. Well after 2 weeks of having the truck he came in mad as hell. He said a deer ran out in front of him while driving out highway 321 and done some damage to his vehicle. I could see the anger in his eyes so as a smart aleck 23 year old I asked him where was the deer? He replied" it ran off " . I replied" well did you get the deers Insurance information". 😆

Yeah Oregon got shafted there. You can't say the catcher wasn't blocking the plate. His foot was on the basepath.

I think the call ultimately came down to them deciding the Oregon runner had time to avoid contact because the catcher doesn't move into his path, he's just set up in the path? The Oregon runner absolutely could've dove to his right for the bag instead of crashing into the catcher. That's why they called it malicious contact because he went for contact first, base second.

Yes if this happened in Knoxville there'd be riots and Tony V would've jumped on the umps back like a rabid monkey and would've had to have been peeled off after receiving a tranquilizer.
He also seemed to start his slide late.
