President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

I think he loves the trappings of being a Supreme Court Justice too much to step down, while he is still in good health. If he becomes ill, that could change. He will turn 77 next month, so that's possible.
Would you agree that RBG stayed too long and did her cause a disservice by doing so?

Definitely.

She assumed that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 Presidential Election, and because of her close relationship with the Clintons (Bill nominated her for the Supreme Court in 1993), RBG wanted her seat to be filled by Hillary. Of course, her assumption was dead wrong, and that will be costly for liberals for a very long time.

Alex Jones? Seriously? Charles Manson had more credibility.
„Credibility“? This coming from a defender of the Biden administration who worked with the media to totally deny and hide Biden’s obvious mental and physical impairment for four years in what might be the biggest political scandal in American history? The administration and media that hid Biden’s ongoing cancer diagnosis from the American people even as he ran for re-election?
And you want to talk about „credibility“?
Just. Simply. Wow.

That makes no sense. Hillary can't nominate herself for the SC

Was that me? Let me check. No, it wasn't me. It must have been somebody who thought Team Biden was good for the country.

Huh? LOL.

I said that RBG wanted Hillary Clinton to be the President to fill her Supreme Court vacancy, because of RBG's close relationship with the Clintons. It was Bill Clinton who nominated RBG for the Supreme Court in 1993. RBG assumed that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 Presidential Election. What are you talking about?

You said that you wanted the seat to be filled by Hillary. I took that to mean that literally Hillary would be in the seat. My apologies for misunderstanding

RBG was nuts to assume that Hillary would win since Obama was already in office. She had terminal cancer. Huge unforced error on her part

Yes, it was.

So aside from hoping he has health issues you wish him the best?

You are wrong. That quote is from a different day then the one I posted. You have been absolutely ridiculous through this. I did not cut anything out. The quote I posted was not a part of that. It was even on a different day!

That’s inaccurate. What I posted below is the full quote from March 20th that you referenced. You literally just click the link in your article and it takes you to the original source. . Sorry if your source intentionally left context out, but this is the full quote from March 20th that you continue to reference

“The Senate has a role to play here. The president nominates, we decide to confirm. We think the important principle in the middle of this presidential year is that the American people need to weigh in and decide who's going to make this decision. Not this lame duck president on the way out the door, but the next president,” McConnell said.

That's not the only quote where McConnell makes it clear in 2016, that he believed the Supreme Court vacancy left by the death of Antonin Scalia should be filled by the winner of the 2016 Presidential Election.

Now, having said that .... I'm way over this discussion. It became ridiculous as another poster pointed out. So, basically .... talk to someone else!

Trump apparently told the GOP caucus not to touch Medicaid, which is a problem for the most conservative members.

The issue is entirely political. The GOP does not want to cut Medicare because everybody ends up with it and it would kill them even with their base.

But Medicaid is for poor people. Much narrower base. Still, Trump is smart here because the imagery of cutting medical care for poor people is a really, really bad look.

We are heading to a point where our politicians will have to put reality over optics in terms of debt. Sadly I have zero hope that they will. But massive cuts should be made to SS, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP

One of the most accurate statements ever made:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.” - Alexander Tytler

One of the most accurate statements ever made:

That’s why UBI is such a major concern to me. Right now there’s a lot of indirectly voting for money for yourself. UBI makes that far more straightforward and then we all start voting for whoever offers the most

A Biden administration report said upwards of 15 million people could be on medicaid that aren't supposed to be. This should be a bipartisan issue.
