Oh so you just want to be miserable and complain. Got it. All Colorado fans are PISSED. Btw here's him defending the #4 pick in the 2025 nfl draft

So you are the one predicting that Colton Hood will be an NFL draft pick - got it.......

Hey I hope this player becomes a high round NFL draft pick - that would be great for TN (or other school he may transfer to in the future) and for the player.

I said nothing about his attributes or abilities - only restated that he had a total of 24 tackles in this past season as noted in the initial post.

What is puzzling is all the vitriol for Thomas, "He's just chasing money" "Eff him" "They'll go anywhere for 50 more dollars" etc

but not a word about Colton Hood hopping from Auburn to Colorado to UT, certainly not loyal to any team and likely getting a nice pay bump to come to Knoxville.

"We needed to get rid of that mal content" Thomas while we need a serial hopper like Colton Hood.

While we'll be "all in" on him as long as he's here, as soon as he leaves he'll be part of ruining of college football again. It's comical.
I’m the one that made the comment about the 50 dollars. Show me the quote where I celebrated getting a player on his 3rd team…didn’t think so.

Volnation is an interesting paradox:

"I hate this free agency with guys transferring all the time. No loyalty. It's ruining college football...."

Upon picking up Colton Hood, who will be on his 3rd school in 3 years, "Great get....."
They are VFLs if incoming and dead to us if leaving. It’s the VN way.

But why the dissing of Thomas when you know UT will get exactly the same kind of guy?

It pointless to hate on guys for jumping now because we're going to collect as many jumpers as we lose.

I suppose like the kids say "Hate the game, don't hate the player."

dont act all hollier than thou or stupid - we all know very well what is going on. We love anyone on our team and everyone who leaves it are scum - except those whom we didnt really want, so its ok they go elsewhere to a team we wont play against.

Dont try to act as if you are discovering a new thing or trying to point out hypocrisy. We are well aware of it and dont give a damn about those like you who try to judge it since it is absolutely universal to any fan who actually cares about their team.

We can lament the state of college football while still wanting our coaches to do everything possible to win given the crappy situation.

I don’t have to be in the least bit proud of UT “getting exactly the same kind of guy “. I hate this s***. This kid would have (assumedly) been a starter for the greatest DB to ever do it. He chose to go elsewhere. Glad to have him. My daughter won’t have a jersey with his name on the back of it. Thomas was pulled from obscurity by UT. Claimed to be a lifelong UT fan. Now appears headed for a program that couldn’t make a bowl last year. I dislike his decision more than Hoods.

It's no holier than thou at all. It's actually comical to diss players for jumping now or coaches.

The game is a brothel and we're enjoying our current dates. If we get a new date next year, that's fine too but don't paint it like the old date was trash and the new date isn't.

There's absolutely zero reason to single out a player as any worse or better than the fans who support the system.

Volnation is an interesting paradox. The only place I can think of where one grown up would offer a moral lecture to other grown ups about not making moral lectures.

There's nothing moral about either side of this. That you think it is and get triggered by the comedy of trying to hold it both ways is something you might want to think about.

It's actually funny how people can hold "this is awful" and "this is great" at the same time. There's nothing more and nothing less here.

I’ll make it easy for you…if they transfer out, well then f them.

If they transfer in, welcome aboard.

You are either one of us or you aren’t. It’s better to cheer for the name in the front of the jersey than the back. If you’re in orange, you’re on my side. If not, then piss off.

Again. I’m going to ask you to show your work and provide an example of where I tried to have it both ways.

Well, you do seem to be triggered a bit by something that is more a chance to write humorous material than anything else.

But I appreciate the responses as they make the joke better. Comedy works best when half the room hates it.

Well don’t say that I didn’t give you two chances. 🤷‍♂️

The picture of him raising up his jersey tells me everything I need to know about this transfer. He’s coming from Deions hood.

I just watch an insane amount of college football outside of the vols and trust my instincts. This guy is a legit lockdown corner. Go look at any social media page and see how upset Colorado fans are.

The downside, perhaps, is that it's a package deal apparently. His brother Brandon and his cousin Trent might or might not take spots that could be better used by other players but it seems they want to move as a group.

Might as well get a guy back from Deion. Dude seems like a merc, but that's the world we're in. Hopefully this can be a profitable arrangement for everyone.

Well, I doubt anyone in the program will forget guys like Matthews and Gibson rattling NIL cages and what team Nico did. No way you count on Gibson to honor his deal. Once a flight risk, always a flight risk. College ball is now a mercenary sport. Until this change, you embrace the rules of the game and play it. It's why guys like Kiffin and Pearl are perfect for this new era of college sports. No guarantee our other corner will be ready to go either. I say go grab another one.
