Man, yall are a violent bunch!! lol I can’t count how many posts there were in this thread wanting your pitchers to drill someone in the back, the nuts, or elsewhere! I can promise you that any plunks to Vol players tonight were NOT intentional! That’s just the LSU pen who largely lacks control! Y’all are making me laugh though! Funny stuff!

Great game! A lot of patience and control at the plate tonight, and Phillips was outstanding! Great composure after LSU hit back to back HRs, and exploded in the 8th to seal the victory. It was another great 7 innings of baseball (like last night) and then another two innings of better baseball for y'all on top of that! Hoping we have an all time instant classic tomorrow!

So of all the players to get hit...it just happened to be AA and it was a Coincidence? There are no Coincidences.

Don’t lump us all in, Ariel gave as good as he got tonight. Both teams wanted this game. Nobody got hurt and I’m sure no feelings were hurt, we’ve played two pretty clean games, both teams. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Dude, do you really think they’d hit a guy to walk in a run when it was a one score game? It wasn’t intentional! The second plunk was just a guy who’s lacked control nearly every game he’s pitched this season. I know it makes for a better story if it was intentional, but it wasn’t.

It is a good board and I can take no credit for that whatsoever. I do my part, and I appreciate the kind words. I know Tiger Rant, at the end of the day, if we can stick to baseball, have some etiquette, we can all get along I reckon, it ain’t as hard as people make it out to be. You, Sir are welcome anytime but when you start bringing the jinx…😜

lol Well, I certainly didn’t bring one tonight! And don’t cut yourself short. I’ve been posting here during baseball season for… 3 years now I believe? You do a fantastic job of running the board. And as I said, your takes and opinions are solid, and I’ve learned quite a bit from you. And that’s a big reason why I like to post on other boards. I can’t stand the echo chamber on the Tiger Rant, and it’s always great for me to get other perspectives from very knowledgeable people like yourself. Again, a lot of respect sir! Heading to bed now, but we’ll do it again tomorrow!

AA was hit to start the inning. No bases loaded. That is the NO Coincidences I was referring to. The same player your players had an issue with and he gets hit leading off an inning. I call BS on the "lack of control". The one that hit Ensley, sure that one i understand as incidental bc the bases were loaded. If I'm TV, your leadoff gets plunked tomorrow, lower body of course, unless warnings are issued...then I start a throw away pitcher and still do it and watch from the dressing room.

I’m pretty sure the first plunk was when the bases were loaded and run was scored bc of it, but I’ll go back and check. The second one was with no one on. But again, it wasn’t intentional. You don’t have to believe the lack of control perspective, but that’s all it was. I’ve watched nearly every LSU game this season, and I’ve watched the same lack of control from these pitchers all season long too. But if you want to believe it was intentional, that’s ok too.

Anyone rooting for players to get hit by pitches might be a little too worked up about the game! But that’s ok too. It’s not my style though. Best of luck tomorrow! Looking forward to hopefully a really great game.

The LAST person on this team to be worried about is AA, he’s tough, has heart and he doesn’t mind to tell ya about it which is precisely why he Might have have gotten some chin music today. Not unlike, ZZ, just opposite sides of the alphabet. It’s f’n baseball.

It was the same inning, which may be causing the confusion. AA was lead off HBP and scored on the Ensley HBP. I'm not rooting for it, but understand it is part of the game. You may disagree, but it has been going on for years in baseball. Maybe not as much in college, but it exists. You protect your players. A fastball to the hip/rear is fine. Chest and above, Not fine.
