You’re close. Taking into consideration just the last 3 weeks, I give the advantage to the Vols in batting. Doyle is just on another level than anyone else in the college this season, and when Phillips is on (like he was tonight, he was outstanding), the advantage goes to the Vols as well in starting pitching.Honest question, where do you think the differences are? Bats seem to be about even. Maybe even a bit of an advantage to LSU, at least at this point in the season. Starting pitchers seem really close, maybe slight advantage to Tennessee. And bullpen la for both schools are shaky but i think goes to UT.
I agree on Phillips. When he is on he is fantastic. But he aint always on. He is good enough to take the risk but also spotty wnough to cost us some games (see ole miss). Doyle is next level. As far as bats go, i think the potential is there but we havnt found it yet. You are right though, there isnt much separation and idk what to expect tomorrow. You’re close. As far as the bullpen goes, we have two guys that we can count on. Evans and Cowan. They’re good! But, you just saw what the rest of our pen looks like, and it’s not good. I don’t know enough about the Vols pen to make a judgement here, but I’d still have to lean in favor of the Vols.
Overall, it’s not a huge difference in any area (other than Doyle). In fact, they’re very close otherwise. But, the edge still goes to the Vols imo. Even though they’ve been a little shaky lately, I still believe the Vols likely have the most talent in the country this year. Just have to continue to put it all together.

I can’t remember the last time the BaseVols or their competitor retaliated with a beaning. I don’t think it will happen tomorrow. Too short of a season in NCAA vs MLB plus it’s not really in the NCAA baseball culture.Good bounce back game tonite. Sure hated to see that Curiel kid's streak end that the announcers kept bleating about.I say we put one in Milam's ribs tomorrow to make up for the AA plunkings and brushbacks tonite.
