Tennessee has finals in early May if i remember correctly. So Nico will be on campus at UCLA more than a month before Joey gets to knoxville?

the Arky/Madden news makes me feel more confident that Nico's camp tried to play hardball on a bigger number and front-loaded guarantee from Tennessee in December, with the UCLA plan being the play for them the entire time

Madden flipped from UCLA to Arky at the last second, presumably for a bigger bag. it wouldn't surprise me if it was front loaded or came with a guarantee and they bolted as soon as the check hit

probably would have done the same to us

I'll be curious to see if Arkansas has a case to claw back money or waste the Iamaleavas' time/money in court

Is this really Butch Jones? Because who you ranking down? Dobbs? Bray? Hendon? Milton? Pavia is very over rated. He is good for Vandy and it stops there.

I'd put him 3rd behind Dobbs. Maybe 4th behind Bray. Said 2nd or 3rd because there's no way he's jumping Hendon. Being better than Bray and Dobbs isn't a very high bar. All hypothetical but he's pretty good. Not a small achievement to make Vanderbilt relevant again.

The Verr and Shoot has never produced an above average NFL player. The closest was RG3

We're talking how many major programs? 3 or 4?

And how many of them had elite talent? 0-1?

And over what? 10 years?

We're mostly talking OG Baylor and now Ole Miss and UT...

We spent from 1960-2020 playing "pro style" and we produced some luckbox of a kid with zero genetics in Peyton Manning at the NFL level...

Most players take online classes only as arranged by athletic department. Both can most likely move to new school and still complete classwork.

also, with how much our defense has improved over the past few years, I'm fine with a QB that takes chances.

either way, the variance is going to be huge

Imo, the system works so well at the college level that it often makes the players look better than they actually are and NFL teams draft them higher than they should go. There's this perception that players that come out of the system aren't any good in the NFL but it might just be that the players were never NFL caliber but the Veer and Shoot made them look really good.

Similar to Petrino players, they'll never look as good in the NFL as they do in college. Not a knock on the players, it's a kudos to how well the coach can scheme.

Love it. Every backup should walk out. Madden hasn’t played football since his junior year in high school. Put him in if they need a substitute.

I see down the road for UCLA with both brothers transferring in and having two quarterbacks leaving, at some point because of depth, they’re held hostage for more money.
