Have any of our guys said Hoover or Johnson? Are these names you’ve personally heard and have some sort of connection? Or are we just throwing guys on the board that would work in this offense?

I’m genuinely curious and this is no shade toward you. Like I said earlier, I haven’t paid too much attention…only name I’ve seen is the Altmyer kid from that insider

Jonnson is speculation. Hoover i cant say how ik but it is something to watchout for

Portal wise, here is how I think this plays out moving forward FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS.

We had the formula with Hooker, by dumb luck.

Find an undervalued transfer QB (the system doesn’t require an elite QB),

spend on skill, o line and backend.

Recruit and develop D line and linebackers.

would like to have a young, dynamic play
caller. anyway, nuff negative crap.

go get a qb, couple receivers and lets roll.

I think they should move to the proven QB model. Get a top QB HS if possible but spend more on the proven guy. It has worked out well for many programs

Would Tennessee really tamper with other team's QBs after the Nico debacle? They would lose a lot of goodwill by going out and poaching some other team's QB and paying them more. Is that the message to send to the team?

I think we have to let Merklinger and Macintyre battle it out. Fans have already lowered expectations. Might as well see what we have in these young guys. I think we should be looking to add an experienced QB from a lower level.

Coach already said they have to get another QB from the portal. Doesn't want to go into the season with only 2 scholarship QBs. And since you're going there, might as well get a proven, top guy

It’s not that Nico left, it’s HOW he left.

Everybody understands we need a portal QB now.
