Exactly right, unfortunately. By the time we get a meeting about the market change, we lost another player who wanted to be here. It’s going to be even harder for the next coach.

That, and next year has a greater chance at Rick leaving. Only saying that because we’re gonna see if RB will love having a team that’s mostly “not his” if that makes sense.

I think it would be great to spend out of our ass for one season and send RB the correct way.

I don’t want him to leave next year, but you never know how he’ll enjoy having a team that’s mostly from the portal.

As you said every coach worth his salt is demanding an extensive NIL package and for it to be made clear, the current one won’t attract anyone that we likely will want here, but I’m sure Danny White will address that…but as you say why not address it now is my thing.

Do we know the reported Louisville offer is legit? Maybe the kid got a matching or similar offer from a school that offered his program so he thought hed swing for the fences with UT? Wouldn't have much to lose and you never know what a desperate team will agree to.

I don’t think there are many fake offers out there. These kids have sophisticated lawyers (oxymoron, I know). Louisville just ambushed the portal with a budget way bigger than ours. We couldn’t even respond, much less counter.

Probably an arms race with UK. Ah well...it was fun while it lasted.
