Relax, there will be plenty of miscues like this and people catching themselves, as she did. Its a good thing people are going to start being held to a higher standard in their phraseology. Nothing wrong with a return to a higher state of decorum.

Funny enough, I’m not in that camp. There’s nothing wrong with the phrasing she used and people need to stop trying to blow everything out of proportion. That’s on all sides.

My best guess:

You are going to find out this SS team was spread too thin, that they were too inexperienced, and they supplemented part of their inner perimeter with outside resources more than normal.

They delegated high risk areas to small town cops that did not have the comptence for it because the SS didnt have enough boots on the ground.

The communication was messed up because you had too many people in roles over their competence level or in new roles.

The pre event planning was flawed and the resources allocated did not reflect a proper risk assessment. You had an underresourced SS team executing a flawed plan based on a flawed risk analysis and relying on small town cops that are way beyond their competency.

Ultimately, this will get pinned on the locals with this being a huge $$$ grab for the SS...

Nobody is ever held accountable so very low risk, high reward...
