My guess is both conventions reflect it.

I think both campaigns do as you predict. Also think the tighter the race the more likely a return to usual vitriol.
Now, I have no faith the media, the supporters, or the established leaders in DC tone it down.

What's more likely than anything is each established leader will return to their norm while admonishing the other side to keep their rhetoric controlled.

Translation: I don't have real reasons. I am just repeating what I hear on MSNBC and CNN.

And I am not MAGA by the way. I haven't voted Trump in any election to date. I haven't voted for any Democrats either, save a couple of local races where I actually knew the candidate. I would be best described as a moderate Republican.

Just like Kennedy. They created holes/gaps in security that allowed multiple gunmen access for those shots, too. This was a hit sanctioned by actors within our govt at the behest and approval of the globalists who will not permit Trump to regain the presidency. Again, the shooter isn't relevant. The real question is who hired, groomed, programmed and activated the shooter. Disturbed individuals are a dime a dozen and convenient patsies that lend to belief in it being a radical with a mental issue vs a sanctioned hit by actors within our own govt operating at the direction of the true powers behind how things work in this world. One way or the other, they'll come at Trump again. Unless he hires private security and weeds out those who opened the doors this time, they'll succeed eventually. And any notion that the CIA or FBI or any other government agency will perform a thorough/honest investigation to find these traitors is pure fantasy. I shudder at the thought of the chaos that will result from the assassination of Trump. It might be the spark that leads to martial law in this country and the beginning of our cage door being closed.

I would say he is partially right. He is correct on all the pre-op a week or two beforehand. The issue I have with this one is its not the President, its the former President. SS will do some pre-background checks as well for lists of names and such, but you also have to know its still limited in nature. There are only so many people, so many hours, etc.

Yes, the best case is the SS or the police can control the whole area but that isn't necessarily possible. (I don't know about in this case) Furthermore, local police only have so many resources and technically they don't even have to help, or don't have the capacity to assist.

Right now the thing that doesn't make sense to me is the why didn't they pull Trump off stage as soon as they saw the guy up there.... you either have to be prepared to take him out before he shoots or get the Orange off the stage.

I disagree it took some great planning. An experienced sniper probably wouldn't have even attempted to try and get on that roof so close.

The Orange spent a few of his nine lives there.

I do wish politicians and leading voices of each political side would stop comparing the other side's politicians to Hitler (or similar). Because if your constituents/consumers have that drilled into their head that the "other" is no different from Hitler (or similar), then at some point someone's going to come to the logical conclusion that it would be irresponsible to not take the "other" out.

In this situation "control" would imply the ability to control access, it's apparent that wasn't the case. They had the ability to react after the fact which is not control.
