I got it, but it comes off as" our hands were tied"
There are at least two videos circulating that shows the loser crawling around on the roof and people yelling at leo, long before the shots were fired.
Another report ( not confirmed) that leo climbed the ladder saw loser, and scampers back down the ladder.

A small number breached the Capitol for unproven election tales.

His head being blown off on live TV would have upped the ante by 100...

We've been Minneapolis and Ferguson burn over life-long criminals dying from the police

Local Law Enforcement will blame SS for lack of communication next since they dont want to look like patsies. Expect a dispute on who was ultimately responsible for controlling the high ground there.

The sanitized story the Feds want to portray will slowly unravel as we get closer to finding out how he got and stayed on that roof as long as he did...

Mkay. So... this is something that you, personally, would have done? You would have traveled to DC with your guns with the intent of burning our Capitol down if Trump died?

It wouldn’t be just DC. It would be Democrat leaders and mouthpieces at the local levels as well feeling the ire. Some of the stuff that’s been posted on X over the past week has shown that people on the right have been collecting data like you wouldn’t believe on those they deem responsible or connected to the “anti-maga” rhetoric. I think we are on the verge of the pendulum swinging the other way in a catastrophic situation.

I’m really afraid that people are going to be out for blood now after what happened, and this country is about to be thrown into a chaos we never recover from.

Understood.

I think it is true hands are tied when we're talking about a building owned privately and then hands are not tied once threat is known or realized wrt the privately owned building.

Where I think most of us are landing is why wasn't more security provided to an unsecure building, why did the Secret Service on the stage not take more decisive action, and why was there such a delay in neutralizing what we all see as a threat?.

We may never come to good answers on any of those but there will be an investigation and answers will come out.

Portland
And Scranton, PA

All would be dealing with high levels of civil unrest and property destruction.

Nothing. Certainly no mass arson. Capitol police, national guard plus city could be put on lock down.

MAGA nutballs wet dream is to get rid of our government, but in reality, it's only a small fringe element that would consider prison-worthy felonies.

The SS + locals do this planning days in advance. Either they would have had prior access permission or should have made an accomodation (i.e. an Eagles Eye) to get control of the sky there since that building butted up close to fairgrounds prop line.

This building was known as a high risk area in the planning stage.

They had control. Evidence is the Assassin was eliminated.
It appears they didn't exercise control timely. And from other's posts, the SS may have a return fire rather than shoot first SOP.

A guy climbed on the roof with an AR in the area they identified as a risk. That's not control....
