Purdue has survived the UCONN death blow so far. At 32-25 it was looking like all other UConn games this tournament, but Purdue answered the bell, at least for now.

basketball caveated with the refs protection of Edey and free throw discrepancies.

It’s amazing how much that goon gets away with, every time he hacks someone to the ground he just stares at him like the punkass he is.

If it’s close at the end, it would suit me fine if Hurley sent a bench guy in there just to knee him in the giblets and have him watch the rest of the game from the sideline floor

Like UCONN or not, they are a very fundamentally sound team. Haven’t missed any layups, something we struggled with.

I don't think there's anything to dislike about UCONN. I like Hurley and their whole team seems classy with good heads on their shoulders. No problem with them repeating

Offensively he's rarely near the basket..I don't get his role there

I think he is doing pretty well defensively, many of Edey’s hook shots are from distance. But Edey is making them. Pretty good overall though. They aren’t doubling Edey so he has no assists.

And Hurley gets a bad rap, but I love seeing him get after the refs and call out Edey. Somebody needs to.

Purdue has to start taking, and making outside shots. They’re 1-3 from 3-pt range, that ain’t going to cut it tonight.

Notice the difference between our game and UConn. Hurley takes a timeout when it was 30-32..Sets up a play. Gets it to 30-34 and finished the half 30-36.

I suppose its easier when you have a 7'2 big man who can contest with Edey

Purdue is playing like us--too dependent on one player for scoring. They should keep pounding
it down low to the big guy--but will surely need more scoring from others if they expect to win this game.

Purdue isn’t dominating the glass like they do with everyone else. UCONN is just a well rounded team with few flaws.
