War in Ukraine

Dear Lord, it's raining Russian aircraft. This is a new one. Man @Rasputin_Vol, your winged lads are dropping like they just drank tea made by Putin.

Edit: Make that two

Apparently Russia has never heard of SEAD before. I wonder if they have ran out of radar-guided missiles and that's why they are having to put their fighter jets into precarious positions.

Too bad Ras and Volgr. Orban and Kristersson have kissed and made up. It looks like Hungary will vote to approve Sweden's NATO bid on Monday. That Putin is one brilliant SOB huh?

Oh c'mon... they can't even defend Avdiivka. WTF are they worried about in East Asia or Iran? Just nonsense...

Ukraine ready for war with China – top MP

Kiev is ready to assist the US in a war against any enemy, be it Iran, North Korea, or China, a senior Ukrainian MP has said, claiming that his country would prove to be a valuable military ally.

In an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour on Friday, Aleksey Goncharenko doubled down on calls for the US to send Ukraine more military aid amid gridlock in Congress. “[The] United States of America told [us that] we will be with you ‘as long as it takes.’ Now it’s time to keep the promises.”

The recent downing of yet another Russian radar plane near the front lines is putting their *entire* operation in jeopardy. The Russians will now have to run blind in one of their 3 sectors. This will open them up to Ukrainian drones which are becoming more and more sophisticated with longer and longer range. There are simply too many soft targets in Russia that will continue to get pulverized.

This is a brilliant long term strategy IMO and has the ability to force Putin to the negotiating table.

Good to see Western values of "democracy" taking root in Ukraine.

Ukraine is following their constitution:

If you were really concerned about democracy in Ukraine, then you'd be calling on Russia to leave, since Ukraine's constitution stipulates that elections can't be held under martial law.

Not my words, this is The Pentagon saying this.

Press Release: Evaluation of Sustainment Strategies for the Patriot Air Defense Systems Transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (DODIG-2024-056) and Evaluation of the DoD's Sustainment Plan for Bradley, Stryker, and Abrams Armored Weapon Systems (DODIG-2024-057)

These two evaluations found that the DoD had not developed or implemented a plan to sustain the Bradleys, Strykers, and Abrams armored vehicles or the Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept on Target (PATRIOT) air defense systems provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces between January and September 2023. These reports concluded that without deliberate and planned sustainment support, including proper spare parts, ammunition, and maintenance support, the Ukrainians would not be capable of maintaining these weapon systems in their ongoing fight against Russia’s full-scale invasion. These two evaluations add to the DoD OIG’s growing body of work, providing oversight of the DoD’s support to Ukraine.

"The DoD provided Ukraine with armored vehicles and air defense systems without a plan to ensure their long-term usefulness," said IG Storch. "While the DoD is currently working on developing such a plan, the lack of foresight in this matter is concerning, and should be rectified promptly."

While conducting these evaluations, the DoD OIG also found that the DoD has provided limited spare parts, ammunition, and maintenance support following the transfer of these weapon systems to Ukraine and did not coordinate or tailor those efforts into a comprehensive sustainment plan. The absence of such planning puts at risk Ukraine’s ability to fight effectively using the U.S.-provided equipment, as well as the DoD’s readiness to address other national security threats if needed.

Meanwhile NATO is well stocked on E-3 AWACS aircraft and monitor the whole battlefront safely from non combatant airspace and is guarantee they share the intel with Ukraine.

Not to mention the additional satellite intel to also share

Weird, when Putin follows Russian Constitution, he is labeled a dictator by you. Which is it?
